Yes, a little disappointed, since I had another BF storage server before, and its performance was excellent for a whole year, even better than my server on Servarica.
I would gladly return if I could be on that node again, or on a less overloaded node.
Hello @ShalaWorks,
Totally tracking man, BF was a bit wild. I learned a lot, what to do and not to do, what to prepare for, etc.
Wanna DM your email, or you can send me an old INV number here and I will look it up and see what we can do. Thanks man for being cool.
Thanks.
Only "for sure", not "def"? * mistrusting
Oh gosh™
My instance was seeing kernel timeout and small cpu penalty from io before. Though it's now fine currently,so I suppose I'll keep it.
Now the last missing thing is AES, as SSL is required by most programs.
@DediRock Can we have x86-64 v2? current alma and rocky linux can't be deploy, got kernel panic due to kvm cpu is x86-64 v1
Hey @jsg tracking man, thank you for your communication.
Hello @e2bs2k1,
Okay tracking, that's good it's better. Okay cool, I will DM you shortly on this, so I can get things dialed in. Thanks for your input as always.
Thanks.
Hey @vuanhson let me look into it. I do know those OS's are not working due to CPU limitations. Were you able to order those OS's from our site?
Thanks
Yes its ok. its a whopping 8 days up. it even appears more snappy. Keep up the good work.
down again lol
edit: nevermind twas short
I reinstall my VM from the rocky (v10) and alma(v10) image provided by the panel (install tab -> reinstall OS on the left sidebar)
Both showing kernel panic error and got freeze, can't use via console or SSH
when I try to mount almalinux 10 iso to install, it showing the kvm is using x86-64 v1 and deprecated, need to upgrade and got same kernel panic message like the existing image.
Invoice #18746
Order Number: 3426639394
if you need to check status of my vm
Hello @dbadude,
Okay great to hear.
Glad to hear it's more snappy. We are pushing to improve each day. Thanks for the data on the server performance.
hey @jugganuts ok whew
mind giving me the server name though or DM me email so I can check your server and that node.
Thanks man!
Hello @vuanhson,
Okay tracking, thank you very much for that. I did just check your account and I noticed there was no technical ticket open. Could you please do me a favor and open one so my support staff can help out on this? As for being able to reinstall that OS, thank you for letting me know, I had thought we had handled it. Checking this now.
My VPS also went down on December 1st (didn't notice because I haven't add the server to my monitoring tool), in my case they have to gave me a new VPS for unknown reason.
Hello @axzxc1236,
Sorry for the inconvenience. Would you be able to tell me your server name, invoice or DM me your email address? I would love to check in this to see what happened.
Ticket opened #ZXD-666654
I opened this ticket: IYJ-876575
reinstall alma 9 first from control panel should fix it
@DediRock should fix your templates to do CPU passthrough
I opened a ticket and support wasn't able to fix it. I found out reinstalling alma 9 fixed the issue as its the only template that has it.
I was plagued by the control panel downtimes when I signed up for my storage vps on BF - now it seems stable except for the fact that the firewall-configuration isn't implemented (but shown). The rest seems pretty standard.
Support response times are good.
Unfortunately the networkspeeds aren't that good and the VPS lacks IPv6, will open a ticket on that and guess they will help me.
I had actually the exact same problem with services going offline (but not the server!), only to find out that the RDRAND cpu instruction was not being passed down from the host OS. You can easily check with this command:
cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep rdrandif it is empty and does not return anything then the CPU instruction is missing at the guest OS level.
I had to install
havegedto fix this. I still have a pending ticket with DediRock about this. Not a big problem, but it could trigger a support hell for DediRock (as some services need entropy to run properly).network is super congested, support asks me to wait until congestions vanishes and adds that they're working on enhancing network performance.
10-40 ms to the first hop is a catastrophy.
One could say "you get what you pay for", but this product is rather unusable.
Hello @vuanhson,
Okay cool, thank you very much for putting in that ticket. I do see our technical guys have responded to you. Also, thank you again for pointing that out. I just had our site updated so incompatible operating systems should no longer be an option for doing reinstalls.
Thanks man.
Hello @axzxc1236,
Okay, thank you very much for putting in that ticket. It looks like our guys got this one handled. Thank you for bringing things to our attention so we can keep improving processes. As for the root cause of the first outage, I am not able to find the exact cause, I do apologize. However, we are working to constantly improve our service. Thank for your patience.
Hello @chengzi,
Okay great, glad it all worked out.
I can run that by our Sys Admin, however, I think it was set up to have it not enabled from the start so there is more flexibility. Okay, thank you very much for your comment and your input. Greatly appreciated.
Hello @Rise9349,
Definitely tracking on the control panel downtimes. We do believe we got a good handle on that moving forward, sorry for the trouble on it. Thank you for that on the response times, we're definitely trying to work hard on making sure the communication is fast. On the network speeds though we can definitely take a look . Also, if you give me your invoice number I can definitely put IPv6 on there for you, no problem, or if you already have a ticket open, please let me know what it is, I'll take a look.
Hello @jcn50,
As always, thank you for your input and giving technical help. Greatly appreciated.
Hello @Rise9349,
Totally tracking and very sorry for this experience. Could you please give me your ticket number?
Thanks.

open a ticket and have the ceo to move your instance to a new node.
My new instance after movement can have 500Mbps speed(also with ipv6) and no kernel timeout occurs.
The missing one is host model cpu. I have required this, but seems they currently have some problems modifying this in new node., I haven't get a timely response yet.
