CPU Performance Test
Geekbench 5 Benchmark Test:
---------------------------------
Test | Value
|
Single Core | 1207
Multi Core | 4697
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1270 v6 @ 3.80GHz
- Evaluation: This is a high-frequency 4-core, 8-thread CPU. Although it uses v6 architecture (Kaby Lake, a few years old), the E3-1270 is a high-end model within the E3 series, boasting a very high base frequency of 3.8GHz.
- Single-Core Performance (Key Metric): A score of 1207 is very healthy and excellent for a server.
- Comparison with older E5s: Common budget multi-core CPUs like the E5-2680 v4 or E5-2699 v3 usually only score around 800-900 in single-core tests. The E3-1270 v6 is 30%-40% stronger than them in single-core performance.
- Real-world Experience: A score of 1200+ means that running WordPress, Minecraft servers, Terraria servers, or other applications sensitive to single-core frequency will feel extremely responsive with no lag.
- Multi-Core Performance: Approaching 4700 points. While it only has 4 cores and 8 threads, the strong single-core performance makes this score sufficient for handling medium-load concurrent tasks (such as running several medium-sized Docker containers or websites).

RAM: 64 GB DDR4 ECC (2400 MT/s)
- Evaluation: This is a massive plus. Usually, a budget of €9.90 in the cloud server (VPS) market only gets you 4GB-8GB of RAM, but this is 64GB of dedicated physical memory.
- Use Cases: Sufficient to support a large number of Docker containers, massive databases, virtualization (PVE/ESXi), or large Java applications.
Disk Performance Test
fio Disk Speed Tests (Mixed R/W 50/50) (Partition -):
---------------------------------
Block Size | 4k (IOPS) | 64k (IOPS)
------ | --- ---- | ---- ----
Read | 587.15 MB/s (146.7k) | 1.23 GB/s (19.3k)
Write | 588.70 MB/s (147.1k) | 1.24 GB/s (19.4k)
Total | 1.17 GB/s (293.9k) | 2.48 GB/s (38.8k)

Block Size | 512k (IOPS) | 1m (IOPS)
------ | --- ---- | ---- ----
Read | 1.23 GB/s (2.4k) | 1.27 GB/s (1.2k)
Write | 1.29 GB/s (2.5k) | 1.35 GB/s (1.3k)
Total | 2.53 GB/s (4.9k) | 2.63 GB/s (2.5k)
This test reveals the most powerful aspect of this machine (NVMe SSD).
- 4k Random Read/Write (IOPS):
- Result: Total 293.9k IOPS (Nearly 300,000 IOPS).
- Evaluation: Extremely powerful.
- Standard SATA SSDs usually have IOPS between 20k - 50k.
- Standard Mechanical HDDs only have 100 - 200 IOPS.
- This machine is 2000x faster than an HDD and 10x faster than a standard SSD.
- Significance: This level of IOPS means the machine can run high-concurrency databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Redis) effortlessly. Even if hundreds or thousands of people access the website and read data simultaneously, the disk will not be the bottleneck.
Overall Evaluation & Positioning
Summary: This is a "God-tier" machine with top-level storage and memory configurations, at an unbelievably low renewal price.
- Value Index: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
- Currently on the market, simply renting 2 x 1.92TB Enterprise NVMe drives would usually cost over €20-30/month alone, not to mention the included 64G RAM and the dedicated high-frequency server.
- Rarity: Extremely High. Similar configurations on the OVH official site (Eco/Kimsufi series) usually cost over €30-50/month, and it is very hard to find one with such large NVMe storage.
Ideal for:
- PT / Seedbox Users: 4TB of high-speed NVMe storage is perfect for a high-performance Seedbox. Plus, with unmetered network traffic, you can upload/download without worry.
- Virtualization Enthusiasts: 64GB RAM + E3 CPU makes it perfect for installing Proxmox VE (PVE) to create multiple VMs for personal use or co-renting with friends.
- Web Hosting / Databases: Enterprise-grade NVMe offers extremely high IOPS, suitable for running large databases.
- Minecraft Server Owners: High-frequency CPU + Large RAM makes this an ideal machine for hosting game servers.

Comments
Nice. Happy for you.
i cant agree more the strongest cluster that i could have built with 4 x ks-le-b ULTRA + ks-le-e e5-1650v4 64gb + 2x1920 nvme( also ULTRA i guess)
(55euros)
the most cost effective cluster of servers
22 cores + 320gb ram + 20TB NVME
I do love my KS-LE-B "ultra", it's great and incredibly cheap. This being said, I personnally would not have called "God-tier" machine an entry level E3 Xeon from 10 years ago.
Give me
Thanks for at least clearly mentioning that.
How did you get this price?
Limited sale by OVH.
They do it once per year a couple weeks prior to BF...
But that is an "upgraded" system, it usually came with a 1245, 32GB and 2x450GB NVMe.
Good Chicken.
