Also, the TV might not be the best option for you, unless you have some way to ship it to UK somehow avoiding or getting a huge discount in customs duties. I am not sure how US to UK shipping works and how bad/good customs duties there are, on imports.
But, you will definitely have to use a reshipper to ship it for you from US to UK and pay them for it. How much do you reckon the shipping + duties will be, and will it be worth it given you are getting the TV for free though?
For example, I try not to ship items to India from US/UK cause the customs duties can sometimes be more than 100% the value f the product and the value in itself is decided by the customs officials, which is sometimes arbitrary, you adding an invoice to it won't make much of a difference. Is the case somewhat similar in UK?
