    Backup's are a paid addon but manual snapshots of the server appear to be free.

    yeah snapshots are free and not tied to VMs, so they will be retained even if you delete the VMs. you can also provision new VMs using the created snapshots.

    if you do not want to pay for automatic backup, you can also use our API to automate the snapshots.

    premium, storage and turbo vms are all using block storage (including the root disk of storage vms) - just so we can live migrate the vms quickly in case of failures.

    Some questions about S3 storage:
    1. what happens if the prepaid bandwidth runs out? Will the buckets continue to be accessible? How is the extra bandwidth billed?
    2. are file operations (PUT, POST, GET etc.) charged?
    3. 1T = 1000G or 1024G? :D

    1. yes overage bandwidth is charged at $0.01/GB
    2. no, there is concurrency limit though (1,000req/s)
    3. 1T = 1000G.

    what do you mean by "hope"? we are not running any luck draws here.

    you don't need to recharge first - just place the order, and the system will generate the invoice.
