first, i like aapanel
does anyone face any issues with aapanel?
aaPanel Pro License - 1 Year: $98, will it be recurring for next year.
+1 Any current customer feedback would be nice. It look easier to use than other paid panels.
At some point in the future would it be: No more update "Lifetime"?
Also is there, fail-over/clustered or any thing in that capacity? I create a website on 1 node, it auto clone to another node. DNS fail-over is covered by CloudFlare already.
I know it has a back door in China. I don't know if it still has it.

Can 200 sub-accounts be redeemed for other accounts? How long is the validity period?
i moved from cyberpanel to aaPanel and i absolutely love it.
i don't see any problems so far.
multiple web servers to choose
docker support
almost all needed features are in free version and it doesn't annoy for upgrading like i had in cyberpanel.
my most fav feature is, transferring accounts from one aaPanel vps to another vps... i can do that soooo easily.
but i always wonder why they priced it so high? i wanted to support many times but $399 seems way too much for me.
it they had like $100 for lifetime (even with reduced paid features) i would have done to support them.
overall, if i have to choose a free panel for my vps, i will only go with aaPanel (atleast for timebeing)
Keep an eye on aaPanel's Black Friday promotions next year; the discounts are quite substantial.
Does this still expose data to China?
Can 200 sub-accounts be redeemed for other accounts? How long is the validity period?
Hi, when you say "other accounts," do you mean activating these sub-accounts on another aaPanel account?
Yes, can I activate a one-year sub-account for other accounts?
Will these 200 sub-accounts start billing immediately, or will they start counting the one-year validity period after I manually enable them? How long can I leave these sub-accounts idle before I need to use them?
My idea is that I might make a profit by reselling, just like the 115 cloud storage did back then
Yes, you can do that. These sub-accounts expire one year after the gifting date.
It's a great thing
can i get one for free, but 100% wont use it
The unanswered questions are definitely worrisome. Not even handwavey brushing under the rug. It's also questionable how they make you have to hunt down which distros are supported (and their recommendation has less than a year and a half of security support left...). As good as the panel may or may not be, this does not feel like a product whose use you should stake your business on...
As I know, the AApanel is the EN version of BTpanel, they are from same company!
I have installed the BTpanel free version on all my VPSs, also tried their Pro version for 1 year, everything is good!
Many questions are unanswered cause they are run by Chinese team, the whole support and service logic is different, as well as the hosting industry is also different in China. So I think they need time to transfer their serivce mind first!
But if you like it, you can buy the lifetime version now, won't be regret later !
Hi,
Since our initial release, there has been considerable attention and scrutiny regarding our parent company. We have always viewed this attention as both an expectation and a driving force for progress.
What encourages us most is that today, a growing number of users are coming to appreciate the convenience and efficiency that aaPanel delivers through hands-on experience. This recognition is the most valuable support in our journey forward.
We remain committed to focusing on the product itself and continuously improving the user experience. Thank you for accompanying us along the way. We look forward to evolving together and building an even stronger aaPanel with you.
Thank you for your support. 200 sub-accounts have been given away.
That's cool... But does it still send data to China? That was the question.
Is there analytics or other user metric data collected and sent to you or your parent company?
Why no cheaper monthly premium plans for basic hosting? Even though free features are enough.
i like aapanel
have been with aapanel for almost a year now, all 6 of my servers running aapanel, although i use the free version but its been working great, managing node projects, php sites, mysql, postgres etc is really easy when dealing with multiple projects
only reason i havent purchased pro is the steep pricing, if it was cheaper i'd get it, only thing that puts me off is to use the mobile app, i need pro version, otherwise everything is perfect
How does this compare now with HestiaCP ? I tried it a few years ago I think and I ended up with HestiaCP, anyone has tried both recently?
strange @aaPanel_Jose ignored the question twice raise a serious concern how aaPanel handle privacy. the reply above is not even relative to the question. aapnel send any data to chinese server or not? it could be answered as Yes or No. aapanel, The skin of bt dot cn clearly seems to be sending data to china. they could even even use the servers outside the china for required services and license management but they want to get all the data. using aapanel is indeed would be a privacy nightmare.
aapanel is best panel period.
using free version so privacy is not considered.
You already know the answer
If memory serves, @SGraf uses(/used?) them for SiteTide🤔 Maybe he can give some feedback.
I have never used aapanel in production. But thank you for the mention.
