I think I'm caught up on my reading here since my last post, so here's the wrap-up:

Both @VeloxMedia @itsTomHarper represent Velox and both have posted things about this situation, I'm going to refer to them as Velox here.

First, thanks to the several forum members who reviewed posts and posted things that favor my position, in their opinion. I won't mention their names because I don't want to tie them to this any further than they want to be. As before, I don't know any of them.

The video is incredible, by the way!

I presume I am one of the "you both" that Velox wants to apologize to personally. If so, I have been invited to DM them.

I haven't asked for an apology, and in my professional world, if I had accused someone of having attempted to cheat them out of $13 and doxxed them as well (however unintentionally they claim it to have been), I like to think I wouldn't just say "reach out to me."

I understand psychologically Velox wants/needs to pretend to themselves and to all of you that this is just a routine customer dispute, but hopefully for their customers and any prospective customers, it is not.

They have all of my honest and accurate registration information, which they had no problem sending multiple emails to yesterday via their ticketing system. And they have more info than that.

This is who they are. They probably can't help it. It's how they think and scrape by in the world.

If they weren't like that, they could have Googled me yesterday and in 2 seconds known who they were dealing with. That doesn't mean they had to immediately conclude I was a nice guy, but they could have known immediately they were not dealing with a scammer from an oppressive country.

If they were still scared about their $13 at that point, they could have then pondered whether a new customer with 30 years' experience representing major companies and executives in Silicon Valley tech industry disputes was potentially worth listening to, and maybe even believing, when he explained how his buying experience unfolded on their website.

So someone or other has been offered 3 years of the 3 VPS bundle that was in dispute. That is a nice gesture, but I am not going to DM anyone to try to obtain for myself. It wouldn't be fair to them or to me to be their customer at this point.

If money is tight, guys, reinvest it in your business.

If you want to do something nice, give those 9 server-years away here on LET before this Black Friday week thread is closed. I promise not to enter the contest.

Sorry, but just go to the hell.

I 100% sure you just wanna free service, nothing more, I don't believe you, at all. Lawyers all the time is lying, that's their work. I believe you was happy because you order 26 bucks service for only $13. Not matter who you are and how are you reach, discount is discount. If you so cool and your motivation is altruistic, as you trying to show us, you just could reorder this bundle for full price and open ticket where describe your position after full price payment just for support your position, but you make this shit drama here. Who win?! A few MJJs who get this bundle for free?

I use Velox almost half of the year and I have only positive emotions from their service, my VPS works 100% stable, the host system not oversold, my performans is stable, support very polite and helpful. I like it.

So what exactly are you trying to prove? You like Velox, so everyone else must like them too? Who do you think you are? Please don’t speak on behalf of everyone.

Before all of this happened, I also liked Velox’s service and their VPS. When I experienced the same issue> @225thinker , I immediately realised it was a configuration mistake. I didn’t want to get £20 worth of service for only £10, so I opened a ticket saying I was willing to pay the difference to receive the three VPSs, or they could cancel the order and I would repurchase it — and that they should check the order link again. They cancelled it, and I had no problem with that at all. The real issue is that during those days they never checked the link, and instead kept doubting and accusing me or others of scraping their hidden links. Even after I provided screenshots and a video, they still insisted on that, until this whole ‘mess’ blew up. That’s the part people find off-putting.

If they made a mistake, then they made a mistake — there’s nothing more to explain. So I really don’t know what they’ve given you to make you defend them like this. If licking their boots makes you feel good, then by all means, carry on.

    ...

So I really don’t know what they’ve given you to make you defend them like this

The problem for me is, they started accusing the wrong thing, and it's the thing that make me yapping much about it, even with some "evidence", I'm believe to get something fairly, Im not exploiting it.

I'm just trying to tell them [provider ]what the truth are, accusing without checking is the thing that make this drama carry on, Im just trying to say what I believe is right, both as Customer and some random guy in internet

Never checking their thing is their problem, and not us as customer

Yes, they didn’t even look at the ‘evidence’ provided by us customers, and they simply refused to believe they could have made a mistake.

This could have been resolved so easily — all they needed to do was recognise the issue earlier and fix it in time, or just take a small loss of a few dozen dollars, and the whole matter would have ended perfectly.

  • oh for heavens sakes, we're back to this shit again?

That's what I'm looking for. Servarica has $88/y for 4c/16g. That's $1.833/core/month. $1 is target price, but I'm willing to settle for higher price, as long as it's the cheapest or second cheapest choice

nah, I think the definition has shifted. It's not just about being broke anymore, it's about being entitled.

A modern "MJJ" is someone who pays pennies but expects 24/7 support, never reads the TOS/AUP, instantly files a PayPal dispute when their own configuration fails, and tries to scalp the VPS for profit. It's a behavioral disorder, not a nationality.

So, "karen" version of tech resource consumer

It is IPv6 only. They "forgot" to mention it.

Please always disclose any limitations of the offer. There must be no hidden catch.

I purchased the €3.50/m plan, and the VPS I received has IPv4. Perhaps you should open a support ticket?

Yes, opened a ticket, and now I got IPv4 too.

  • Are there any good BF deals for VPS minimum of 4GB RAM and NVMe disk in the UK available still? Thanks.

Got one of my 2 dedicated delivered, other is still just sitting "customer reply" on the ticket... my vps is still completely f'd tho. Sounds like they're just swamped... also sounds like they're willing to adjust billing dates to reflect when the service was actually functional tho, so then its just the struggle to be patient, which I suck at
