It seems this megathread has a drama now. Hopefully it won't end with a megadrama.
need more deals, i think i finally finished updating my spreadsheet
I want the deals from the people who cancelled their deals because dramathread drama'd
Again, for what it's worth, you didn't mention the "a few months" and you're asking in the BF thread, so I assumed this was something from this weekend.
In which case I agree with @barbaros:
Unless the T&Cs explicitly say they can change them at will and they will apply, then they shouldn't. But unless you can prove what the T&Cs were at the time of purchase (maybe via archive.org), good luck arguing that. Also, even if the T&Cs can be changed, a court might decide it's unfair and side with the customer.
Most companies in the real world solve this by announcing changes to T&C and giving the customer a month to cancel their service for pro-rata refund if they disagree, and if they don't do so within a month are deemed to have accepted the new terms.
For a hosting company though, it's probably not worth the hassle of fighting them for the money if it's a small amount, so they can get away with acting more dickishly knowing you won't be able to do anything about it. I guess that's why people love to make shaming posts.
All good, should have been more clear.
I can kind of prove because I have an email informing me about the changes.
But for obv. reasons this is all just theoretical, it's not worth it for me to sue some provider across countries for some promo deal transfer
@barbaros thanks for the validation. I am split about disallowing transfers at all, I think with all the fomo there might be cases where a transfer might be a win/win/win for original owner/transfer owner/provider (good PR)
fuck scalpers ofc.
I like being tagged
Isn't this for you?
2 pages left to 666, looking for 6/6/66 deals
you wanted more pages, I am getting you more pages
That is true
Maybe the devil will appear
To downgrade your Enzonix VPS even more?
lets tag @SilverCreek for the 6/6/6 (pls no 1 per customer limit
)
Shhh, mods are sleeping right now.
Jeex more imgur shit
Lol its wednesday now, even i got an okay deal cuz of FOMO. And it had to end in controversy right when I bought it.
Don't be split. Think from the provider side, you are FOMOing and buying things, which you won't use or really need, which means it will idle. Provider now can sell the idle resources to someone else and earn more money on it.
On the other hand, if you transfer it to someone else, the server might not be idle anymore, which means provider might not oversell the resources.
As this is against provider's business, they won't let you transfer the service.
Why did I have so many VPS
Proxy for the win
It's in your destiny.
Good boy
Because IDLES NEVER STOP
Were you high?
