  • How long does server provisioning usually take at dartnode? I ordered and pain an invoice last night (about 8 hours ago) and haven't received a vps yet.

I'm used to other providers provisioning things nearly instantly, so perhaps I just need to wait more than I'm used to, but I haven't gotten any emails other than showing my paid invoice.

We wrote the mission control software and are doing the ground segment networking!

Can you give me any eta more precise what is your response time for tickets , ticket no
    15136

  • DartNode is worst, placed order two days ago and received the VPS today, it was not even turning on and when i tried reinstalling OS, Re-Install OS request is still in Queue since 6 hours.

I haven't used such a pathetic panel, created ticket and received response that it is due to Black Friday rush. Seriously are they provisioning and installing OS manually?

You wait in long Queue to place order and then you have to wait in Queue to use your own VPS. Worst Provider.

We're aware of the issues with provisioning and also with the disk sizes, and are working on restoring the system over the past 24 hours.

Yesterday, over 400 people ordered VMs in the span of an hour, causing our system to become under stress. We do not deploy things manually, but it is done by a job queue system that takes jobs and runs them.

With the increased load, we started to have job queue failures; we're working on deploying more runners and also are tweaking the job queue to handle concurrent tasks.

The job queue was due for a revamp for a while, and this has pushed us to do it in an emergency fashion. I am currently working on the software for the queue system with the runners, and once we have it up, we will redeploy everyone so your disks and everything are setup correctly.

I think what people want to hear is that the counting starts the day the box is delivered not the day it was purchased, and I hope this is the case :D

Yes, we will make everyone whole once we get all this fixed  We will be adjusting due dates accordingly

glad to see this update and acknowledgement of a wide spread issue. since many of us have opened a ticket and it's probably unfeasible to update every single one of them, where is the best place to check for updates? here?

  • US West (Los Angeles)...waiting for $7

  • GLWS

  • I love dartnode!

  • I've been holding out for more of the crazy deals that I probably don't even need for my use case honestly (and judging by demand is basically impossible to get when one is posted). So I went and ordered the $40 "tour" deal, it's too good to pass up to test some software I'm working on.

I also see the effort in recognizing the black Friday hiccups and fixing issues, and that helped sell me honestly. I also screwed up a coupon order before and they fixed it instantly and helped cancel the invoice. All positives.

I'll post yabs when I get my servers (I couldn't find many when I searched), I'm in no rush for have everything instantly, I know these guys are swamped right now and people need to cut them some slack.

Also as a suggestion, maybe instead of this people waiting in the queue thing for the $7 vps or $99 dedi, you need to switch to some kind of timed lottery system. Like the time limited draw gets announced and people enter, so after 30 min lets say everyone gets a rank number, then you go down the list, if the 1st winner doesn't pay then you go to the next one. The system now where it's F5 F5 F5 and pray a bot or agentic AI doesn't beat you really sucks if I'm being honest, and I'm not singling out dartnode, because I know everyone does it, not everyone is at a pc hitting f5 f5 f5 all day long.

    Just some feedback.

  • Dartnode - I know you're working through technical issues but I wanted to ask before BF/CM is in the rearview. Can you guys cut any deals on storage vps with 2-3TB? Silver OK if smaller SSD (ok) or NVME (pref) for cache is an option.

  • dartnode staff:

I apologize for the unacceptable issues you are having. I understand your frustration with the slow provisioning and server instability.

We apologize for the issue you are experiencing. It is because of the Black Friday rush going on on our system. The extremely high volume of orders has caused system instability.

Please rest assured your system will work properly after the rush is over. Please bear with us while our engineers are working tirelessly to fix this.

They still working on it ~

it's ok, my idle now idle x idle =idle²
