    It depends. For example I can understand idling a small ARM server which does not require lots of power anyway, but not big ones.

    For me it's more about cost than power. You're going to spend $30+ per month to idle something?

    About 10 years ago a company called Scaleway (back then just a project of Online.net) was offering C1 ARM servers with just €3/month. These were really tiny low-end dedicated machines. I would idle something like that, because it does not break the budget.
