  • Do you have any test links? I’d like to test the download speed. I’ve tried some S3 storage services before, and when the latency increases, the speed usually drops a lot.

It is expected. That's why you need to choose location near the server that use that S3

you should aways use a CDN in front of S3 if you are distributing the content to multiple (a lot of) users at the same time.

  • Question) If I set two vm peer server in Amsterdam, if one server fails and there is no room for moving (HA), does it remain down?

we always keep enough spare resources (most the time it's an empty node) for the failover.

@onidel Do you not allow Virtualization? I cannot add a VM, bridged or routed.
I mean I can add it but network is not working at all either thru bridged or routed. I rented an extra ip from you for a vm. Configuration is fine.
    Thanks.

should work with routed config. did you enable ip forward and arp proxy?

I have not received a ticket response. I have tried everything but to no avail. Could you verify if you have VLAN or MAC/ARP filtering restriction on the provider side?

    Thank you.

Got it. Very fast response. In communication now. Thank you.

  • Sorry if this has been answered. I assume bandwidth allowances for S3 are metered separate to VPS, and doesn’t pool?

Thinking I might just go the S3 rather than HDD that I had in mind a few days back. Was planning to spin up an S3 service anyway.

  • For AMD EPYC Premium VMs, what traffic counts toward the monthly bandwidth limit? Is it both ingress + egress, or only egress traffic?

We will be looking into providing virtual MAC so you can use bridged setup as well.

Can we chunk the HDD Block into multiple smaller blocks for multiple VMs?

as much as I'd like to, this would require additional effort to manage the storage properly. it may be easier to simply share the storage across multiple VMs via the private network.

I purchased two HDD Block Storage units during this promotion, and now I'm worried that my monthly bandwidth won't be enough. :D

with the current pace of hardware price increases, bandwidth is the last thing you need to worry about.

  • Just a friendly heads-up, I'm posting here because I sent you a PM back on November 10th about a critical bug on your website.
The PM has the details. When you have a moment, could you please check your private messages? Thank you! <3

fake contact form is not a critical bug.

the website will be having a new look soon anw.

  • @onidel said: The below prices already has 50% recurring off applied (annual payment).
    1 TB - $18/yr ($1.5/mo)

Do you think you could give us a 500GB - $9/year "inaugural" offer in SG? It'll help get started with something to pair with smallish VMs and test the waters before jumping in full fledged with more moolah.

    Thank you.

Thanks for the response. I'm posting again because the problem is far more critical than just a non-functional contact form.
Seeing that my private messages weren't being answered, I tried to be helpful and report the bug via the "Phone Support" number listed on your contact page (1-888-243-2389).
The person who answered the phone told me they have absolutely no connection to Onidel.
I'm not sure if you're aware, but you are directing your customers to a phone number that belongs to a completely unrelated party. Using a fake contact form is one thing, but listing a real, incorrect phone number is a very serious issue. I can only imagine how frustrating it is for the person who actually owns that number.
This is exactly why I've had to resort to public posts and private messages. Could you please treat this with the urgency it requires and check your private messages?

links to that sample contact page were removed a while ago. if there is still any reference to it from our website, let me know and I will make sure it will be addressed.

and please refrain from overstating the matter. you only wanted me to approve your aff commissions, which you earned by leaking the flash sale code to another forum yeah?

Thanks. Object storage preordered. Continually impressed with the service.

Now I need to balance out grabbing the S3 by making sure I actually offload the storage VPS I have (from elsewhere) which this is to replace

Regarding this on your homepage "Sign up and get 25% account credit bonus on your first invoice" and "Starting November 18, 2024, all verified users will receive a 25% bonus on their first recharge." at https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/199286/onidel-cloud-25-recharge-bonus-hourly-billing-high-performance-vps-across-apac-sg-syd-vn/p1:

    • Does it mean we get 25% account credit bonus on our first payment and then get another 25% account credit bonus on our next recharge?
    • Can the bonus credits from either option be used for your S3-compatible object storage?

Is it possible to get 60% recurring off the annual payment plan for ONI-1 (1 vCPU + 2GB RAM + 20GB NVMe) or 2 vCPU + 2GB RAM + 20GB NVMe?
