I am using it. Works okay. No issues.
NextCloud works on hostbrr storage box but it’s very slow often.
NextCloud is demanding. Maybe look at one of servarica's hybrid storage VPS, where you get a NVMe system drive of a modest size, and then a much larger partition on an array of spinning disks. You could then run your home directory, logs and mysql on the NVMe, and just run the NextCloud data on the slower drive.
What is the upload speed? download speed?
It'll depend on your location, your speed too.
Too many variables to judge.
We've had this service for over a year and haven't had any negative feedback in regards to Nextcloud performance. I use it myself and it runs great.

Next cloud is not THAT demanding. It is just unoptimized.
In shared hosting, that won't be possible but in vps, one can easily optimize it to make it fast.
