Linveo Price Increase
I just received this email from Linveo. Besides the DDoS my services have been stable, but I'll have to see if any Black Friday virtual servers would be a better value than my 6 Linveo VPS after the increase.
We're writing to inform you of an upcoming price adjustment for our VPS services, effective January 1, 2026.
What's changing: All VPS packages will increase by 10%. For example, our $5.00/month plan will become $5.50/month.
Why this change is necessary: Like many in the hosting industry, we've experienced significant cost increases throughout 2025, with additional increases expected in 2026. Specifically, we're facing:
Substantial datacenter power cost increases that have already impacted us in 2025, with further increases scheduled for 2026
Dramatically higher RAM costs due to supply constraints driven by AI industry demand
We've absorbed these costs as long as possible, but a modest price adjustment is now necessary to maintain the quality and reliability you expect from our services.What you need to do: Nothing. Your service will continue uninterrupted, and the new pricing will automatically apply to invoices generated on or after January 1, 2026.

Even with the price increase it looks like their VPS will be $5.50/m for 8GB RAM, 4 cores. Still an amazing value. If you like the service no point in leaving them.
Linveo has been pretty much rock solid for me, and this price increase seems fair & justified.

I'm curious how many people bought that $7/yr Black Friday plan that will be up with pitch forks.
That's the Xeon plans which are a great value. I have AMD services, but most are a great value too. There's only two that I might move.

3x - AMD KVM VPS 1GB - $2.10/month (fantastic and rock stable - won't be moving)
2x - AMD KVM VPS 1GB - $3/month (might move)
1x - AMD KVM VPS 2GB - $3.50/month
1x - AMD KVM VPS 8GB - $14/month (I doubt I can get a better deal for 8 Ryzen 9900X cores unless @Advin get stock for the Extreme servers in Kansas and discounts them again)
AMD KVM VPS 1GB - 1 core, 1GB RAM, 25GB NVMe
AMD KVM VPS 2GB - 2 cores, 2GB RAM, 50GB NVMe
AMD KVM VPS 8GB - 8 cores, 8GB RAM, 200GB NVMe
Linveo is worth it
