    I only knew about the stock market crash one, but it apparently was a different weekend anyway.

    Yeah... Ultimately..m sont care muc. years back it was a usa thing only. EU caught up. Good deals hee but not as insane as in the usa.

    Yeah, in the UK we only started doing Black Friday maybe 15 years ago. The first 2 years had really good deals, US style with 50-90% off certain products etc. Real loss leader stuff to get people into the shops. Now everywhere in the UK just treats it as a basic promotion tool, and almost everything is maybe 5-20% off but usually nothing so cheap that makes you buy something you didn't want already.

    Got some Google nest speakers at €50/peace which was good though. They're usually about a hundred.

    I have an older Sonos system and wanted to replace that. Might sell it on eBay as it was like 700 at the time I think.

    Oh cool. Reminds me, I need to rig up my new lounge PC to the hifi... Doesn't have a regular audio out, so I'll need to dig out my HDMI to HDMI+SPDIF adapter from wherever I might have stored it 5 years ago...

    Lol, that's a days worth of searching. In my case anywhere. Always like, I know I have that somewhere. And too stubborn to just order a new cable.
