Yes, I am going to be frank here. I was really concerned for the thread this year, as the RAM prices are nowhere near justified right now or has been like that since the past few months. But, as always RackNerd came through, for the community and proved yet again that the RackNerd BF threads is the party to be at every Black Friday!
This year too, the Chef didn't disappoint with the flash sales. Too good this time as well. And, that Amsterdam VPS flash sale was the cherry on top!
Now, I need to have big plans for next year's BF thread somehow.
i started with VULTR simply because i knew them from 2014 when i purchased London VPS to setup as reverse proxy for 1 of my websites... I still rent that VPS but mostly because i don't wanna set up another one somewher.. although i could. or should?..
in any case, when i needed many proxies in 2018, VULTR was an obvious choice, i didn't know many others. so I've been renting a number of VPS @ $5-6/mo.. years later, well, this summer, i realized i could get 1 vps of same or even better quality and more bandwidth for a fraction of the price.. just like averaging $1.0-$1.5 a month, if i paid by the year. well, RackNerd is even cheaper and much better than many of those choice.
i could have saved literally 1000s of dollars if i knew to do this since 2018..

Exactly my point. Vultr is still fine, I believe but there are other big names in the industry that are actual vultures. Kid you not, a hosting service - SmallRock (name obviously changed
) quoted me a small fortune for a 4GB RAM VPS. Fortunately, that was around the time when I landed on RN's BF deals page.

shoveling is actually energizing. still can't workout, now it's not neck, which feels much better, BTW, maybe it is the weird pillow? now it's 2 of my toes that are purple and stiff after accidentally landing on them wrong during cold plunge in sauna. but oh well, soon i'll be back to it.. i hope.. just a lot has been happening.. i need to watch some TV, take a load off, relax.. instead i keep hunting deals..

The deals right now on RackNerd are sweet by themselves. But, there were incredible flash sales on this thread 2 days ago (once in a year RackNerd speciality on the BF threads).

the manual says give it 2 weeks for your body and neck to get adjusted to actually sleeping right.. but it may already be working.. i can turn my head almost 180deg from side to side with very little discomfort.

Oh no. You are wrong there imo. The deals on RackNerd BF deals page are still really good. And if youa re lucky and active you can participate in a resource upgrade (RAM /Core) giveaway that happen on this thread. We have had one till now. I might have to get this soon. Spondylosis runs in the family and my sleeping habits and positions make it very easy for my neck to fall victim to it.
