What about ZAP-Hosting?

I recently learned about ZAP-Hosting from NodeSeek, where many users have bought their lifetime VPS or even lifetime dedicated servers. The feedback there seems mostly positive.

But on LET, it looks like the reputation isn’t very good.

For those who have experience with ZAP-Hosting, how would you evaluate them? Are their lifetime services reliable in the long run?

Comments

  • I have a Lifetime VPS from them since November 2024 (BF 2024), HetrixTools uptime is 99.7696%.

It has been reliable for me, with modest performance. You can end up on Xeon E2690 or alike nodes, or Ryzen.

You have to log in to the customer panel every 90 days, else the Lifetimes are lost (they send you reminders).

Bought another one yesterday with the flash deal 35% off coupon, YABS:

  • The overselling is severe, and the VPS specifications are basically exaggerated and cannot deliver the promised performance. The support team is unresponsive, and you have to pay extra if you want proper customer service. I do not recommend this provider.

  • Buying a lifetime VPS at such a low price is like expecting a pie to fall from the sky — it’s simply ridiculous. The cost doesn’t even come close to covering the yearly labor, electricity, and hardware depreciation. The price is completely unrealistic.

GB5 is less demanding than GB6. In the post you mentioned, disk is way slower than mine.

About customer support, I don't know, never had to use them since I did not have a single issue.

About "lifetime" (of the company / product), it's always a bet, but you can find some good deals, like MXRoute, NameCrane Email, Koofr, pCloud. And sometimes it fails.

ZAP-Hosting's CEO said once they run on their monthly contracts, and use the Lifetimes money to buy new hardware.

You can search "lowends zap-hosting" on Google and find the other forum thread about ZAP-Hosting.

  • I know that ZAP-Hosting reputation is not good. OP asked for users experience, I gave mine, without praising them, stating the modest performance. They are not my main provider, but for light tasks and throwaway testing, it just worked for me, for a one time modest fee.

agree,If you've held it for more than two years, or even longer, then there's nothing to complain about.

  • Basically I think ZAP is only for lite hosts, just get yourself rolling.

  • I have a lifetime VPS. Who knows what they mean by lifetime.

I do have lifetime game server since 2021 and it works, though. But these days, I am not using it so much.

However, their support is joke :( If everything goes wrong, they blame you.

Looks like Zap has removed their "root server" VPS offering and now only offer "VPS".
I managed to get a one last year, but can't remember why that was the better option over just a plain old VPS at the time...

    Update (and for future me):

    • "root server" VPS = KVM
    • VPS = LXC
  • I have one of the lifetime dedicated servers from them since 2023, don't really have an issue with them and has worked out for me cost-wise now.

  • Existing LXC VPS have been migrated to KVM from july to september 2025 if I remember well. I believe all is KVM now.

  • Yes all LXC servers have been migrated to a KVM. Yes the support is a joke but I only use it for a Globalping server so noting important
