A lot of the more savvy users (here) are quite likely very capable of managing their own boxes without much support requirements (esp. if given a proper environment - like a container with "root" inside where they can do whatever including running whatever torrent client - within limits of memory/cpu. Disk is anyway quota enforced). What is required though is decent hardware uptime (and restarts/power ons on crashes) and "reasonable" performance for seeding and/or storage.
Hopefully that will reduce costs on your side assuming you have other automation in place for provisioning and monitoring to handle hardware issues.
I think the support costs for seedboxes in general go up because of shared infra with very temperamental users and software (all the torrenting clients whose behaviour varies dramatically with so many factors including number of torrents and memory).
Of course there are many who require fairly extensive hand holding and that's where things start to hurt (for you as a provider).
