@FAT32 oh and we got docker rootless working again stably on new distros; so essentially these are container VPS these days if you know your way around CLI docker compose etc.
We already introduced CPU & IO limits but they are high limits for now OR just weights so we can turn on vCPU limits later on + raw IOPS limits to differentiate even more.

Rolling release and upon any user request we update the server. We moved from Debian 10 to Debian 12 in one swell swoop too, so far zero regression reports on Debian 12, but getting from Debian 10 to 11 was a PITA. So much code debt to clean up.
Deb 13 is expected to have some regressions but 100% untested so far (ie. quota fileformat migration etc.).

AFAIK some users are running Ubuntu on a seedbox now, i have not seen this but someone just mentioned the container runs.

Assuming the IP is shared (to bring the costs down)... how likely we all can have our own tiny seedboxes? (Basically assuming no support - or disable support at all, together with the lowest specs you can do... how low can you do?)

depends on what metric is being low?
Support is heaviest cost and seedbox market is down ~85% -- From 13M € TAM to just 2M € TAM. This is a dead niche. That being said, add AppBox + Dedis used for similar purposes the niche is still in the 23-32M € ballpark!

But we are not (yet) offering AppBoxes, and this is one step towards that -- well kinda is now appbox, if you can self manage the containers.

If there was enough users (market size) we could go really low. That's why we are working on MD series dedis so hard, and trying to punch way above what we can (in house design starting from datacenter, to hardware platform,. to hw management, full lifecycle management, the automation etc. and roadmap to even our own electicity generation -- all to get OpEx down!) because that market has enough depth and size that we can actually really push the frontier of "how low can you go?" (in €/Month and not involucrate)
