stayed up since 3-4 just to see if I could get it. Sun is up.
3 hours in line, an hour stuck at 5th in line. zero progress. I'm gonna sleep.

It's still cycling through sessions, there's only one left so it's slow going now. Each person has 5 minutes when it's their turn. Will probably fine tune this further for the next event.

If it was slowly cycling through with 5 minutes turn i wouldn’t have been stuck at the same place in line for an hour. Just pointing out that somewhere down the road your system must have broke.

Edit: also what’s the point of posting 10 different urls if all of them points to the same thing and clicking on any of the other links resets your queue on all sessions?

How long should I wait for the provisioning ticket to appear? I don't want to be impatient as I know there's lots going on but I did kind of want to review/submit the details since I'm guessing it will take a couple of days after that's done. I did pay the invoice (see that in the history) and even reload my account balance so I'm ready :)

P.S. Again, I want to stress I'm not being impatient for it to be live! Just a little impatient to submit the details

Same question. Should provisioning tickets be automatic/quick? Just wondering if something's not behaving or we just need to wait a while for an actual person to get around to creating one.

They are automatic, and they're usually nearly instant. There was something jamming them up, but theres a bit of a backlog for it to now chew through.

Should I be worried / open a ticket yet if i still don't have one?

Not yet, I can see the system is still catching up on jobs. It's about halfway through.

Doesn't seem like it. The queue must be crawling.

I'm about to give it a red bull, let's watch it grow wings and fly

Still nothing for me. Still working through a queue?

Hmm, I'll look into it. That's odd behavior because the deal did end up selling out all quantities in the end. Do you have a DartNode account? If so can you send me your email so I can check your line session and see if it got bugged somehow?

The 10x URL's was an ask by the LET BF team initially since the DartNode system did not support unique coupon codes at the time. We then added a queue system so that abandoned sessions could be grabbed by someone else without having to repost the same deals.

It was meant to be a more entertaining (and rather brief) experience. Queue's that span hours are not intended. Will be tweaking to further minimize.

not sure if I was signed in while I was in the queue but sent a DM hopefully you could find the root cause before the next deal. For your reference I'm still stuck on the 5th place, no error logs or anything else.

Five of the ten links show as sold out, the other 5 show up as still 'available'. I still have a few sessions in queue, at number 328 :-)

  • @DartNode Excuse me, I won the prize of the last issue.I sent you a private message.By the way, will the $7 server still be sold?

Fantastic! Thank you! I will make sure all the giveaway servers get entered into the system this weekend. If you don't have a dartnode account yet, please create one.

There should be more $7 drops throughout the weekend. Once the provisioning queue is fully caught up so we don't overstress it further.

I also experienced this. @muffin is not alone. I also wanted to get the dedi but had the page stuck on my queue number for hours without movement. It didn't make sense that there is a 5 minute timeout but the queue position did not move. Ultimately, it must be a fluke after hours. So I close the page. Hope you can fix.

Working with a few users in DM's to track down the root cause by going through their checkout session details. When I was testing on our end we could not reproduce. I wonder if it might be related to the provisioning delays.

We will be launching a pre-order for US-West soon. It won't be quantity limited, just waiting for the system to catch up as pre-orders are complex tasks and I want all the waiting customers deployed first :)

damm. A 502 error response from the API will break the loop of queued requests.
