for example if you post it as a claim link and i claim it with my email, and another user tries to claim the same link, a message usually pops up like "this has already been used by [email protected]" and shows the full email

Perplexity seems to know their product isn't worth money... I've gotten free codes from Comcast, AT&T, Uber, PayPal, from Perplexity themselves, from GitHub, and like every youtuber has at some point had a free year code... Just use a new email every time and never pay.
I have a VPS with them since March this year. During this period they did not deadpool.
And my overall experience has been quite positive. Can't say for the future, but so far so good
