Nuremberg Looking Glass: 188.68.56.104/, with IPv4 / IPv6, tests files from 10 MB to 10 GB.
Does anyone have YABS of this ?
VPS 4000 G12 Pro
The speeds from the looking glass as well as from https://speedtest.netcup.de/ and https://speedtest.netcup.at, are all bad, I was hoping to get a real test directly from someone's vps/rs, otherwise I am concluding the whole ASN AS197540 is not suitable for me
are the resources for root server RS 1000 G12 like 4 cores really not shared, true dedicated? whats the true difference
I'll be going to replace one of my Contabo servers with a VPS 1000 G12 Pro. These are the usual discounts they have at the end of each month so nothing special during Black Friday but the double disk is nice and Netcup has amazing uptime.
Back in town ? You were missed
No windows expert here anymore
I was busy with other things going. Will be posting more often now.
Running windows OS on this NetCup €3.25 / month VPS.
They are pseudo-dedicated. The resources are utilized with other VPS when available
One can use cpu resources as if they are dedicated to the VPS. 100% 24x7 usage permitted
wow long time.
Decided to give Netcup a try - it's quite an expensive VPS at €5.75 per month, but I really liked the RAM + NVMe storage + 2.5G port + traffic policy combo (2 TB per day).
Edit: forgot to add - Netcup's control panel is hilariously bad; it seems like it was designed in the early 2000s. Oh well, I hope I won't have to interact with it that much. It's a small downside considering everything else.
oh it's GB4, I got so confused
Yeah, I needed it for proper comparisons with other servers I've used. Here is GB6 (nothing surprising):
Their flash deal on hosting now.. are there people still buying 1 GB space ?
bought the webhosting.... i hope its acceptable..
It’s for 8.69$/year hosting plan with the .de domain included and 25GB for 100 email address and renews at the same price. I think it is a good deal.
its world wide a thing
running a hetzner cpx41 with windows server -8VCPU 16gb ram - 240gb (around 22 monthly). looking for something similar cheaper on netcup, bw needed is really small as it will run just a remote radio dj software. looking at VPS 1000 G11 or VPS 2000 ARM G11 (not sure if I can run windows on it, someone told not possible on arm) any suggestions are welcome
RS 2000 G12 Pro, 8 cores and 16 gigs. They have a tutorial on how to install it.
I got one VPS 4/8 yabs network speed is normal almost 2GBps but as soon I as try to upload 100gb backup speed is throttled to 3 MBps from old server to netcup, tried SFTP, SCP. Tried from multiple different servers so the problem is not on my end, anybody tried to upload large file via SSH to netcup VPS, how is the speed?
thanks. anyway hetzner CPX41 is a VPS, maybe RS 1000 G12 pro will work too (8gb ram is enough) ?
VPS 1000 G12 Pro
I think it is EPYC 9645?

Netcup lol. Is that the people sending debt collectors after you for 10 euro if you dont cancel before its due?
every bigger company is doing that
If 8 gb is enough for windows + your software then sure.
I've a build server + docker container registry setup on one of the VPS, also a backup job that uploads to hetzner storage box. Both download and upload speeds are pretty consistent.
Just now, from my home, Ethernet 2.5G PC (with faster fiber link), to a RS2000 G12 Pro NUE:
*German provider thing it seems like
This is no longer the case, most plans now have monthly contract and they are in the US with an English website.
Is network interrupts multiple times a day for 2-4 minutes normal with Netcup ? Will be canceling, not production grade no matter what they say or think.
