brb, now the dog actually wants to do her business

Sure, dude. Take her out for a walk in the snow :)

Yeah, the snow/cold with the wind blowing stuff people left out (it's kind of strong gusts) weirded her out so she didn't want to do her full business on our normal bedtime walk. She just whined at me to go back out, liked I didn't tell her she needed to do her business previously... Of course, once we got out, she wanted to go back in right away again but I forced to stay out until she does her business. I always hate "pulling" her (not really pulling but forcing her not to turn back) but she's like other drivers out here: takes her a bit to remember what to do in these conditions.

LOL! That's funny. These guys can make you smile no matter how stressed you are. They are the best therapy there is, imo.

Yes they can! It's why I feel like something is missing from my life without a dog.

  • Do you want me guys to maybe join you in hyping it up a little. Maybe you guys could have a giveaway later?

Yup, I sometimes wish, there was something, anything that could prolong their lives to human-like. :(
That's the saddest part of being a pup parent.

If you want, if you have other things to do or need to go to bed, I say do it. Honestly, I'm kind of not expecting anything in this thread until later tonight/tomorrow.

Okay, dude. Frankly, I am extremely tired today. Was planning on call it early.
Hope you win a backpack for you and your pupper in the next few hours though!!

  • Another lovely day, sipping coffee from my RackNerd mug and watching this thread! Can't wait to get a second one into my rotation!

  • Left control and alt buttons are kinda stretched

  • So BIG "CTRL" and "ALT"

yeah, I found it annoying when I first started using a Chromebook but now I don't really notice it. I do wish they did have a dedicated page up/down keys by the arrows so I didn't have to use alt+up/down but that is becoming something I don't really think about anymore.

Though it has been nice this year dedicating my Chromebook to this thread as I do work/other things on my regular laptop! All I have to do is reach to the side and refresh. No more finding the right window/tab and then switching back to what I'm working on

Because it's a Chromebook and supported until 2032. If it was no longer supported, I would totally flash coreboot/custom bios. Though ChromeOS isn't bad, full desktop browser, android, and a Linux container for other apps. Do prefer my normal laptop for most things. This usually sits in my backpack (sadly, not a RackNerd one) by the door in case I'm on call for work and I'm leaving the house. Perfect in that situation as it gets long battery life.

It is interesting how far chromeos has come since the early days (chromeos flex or whatever is not comparable) and will be interesting when google finally gives more details on their revamping it from a small/hardened linux distro to what is a container on android (at least that's what I'm assuming from their chromeos moving to an android base press release where they didn't give much details).

If you do want to get a chromeos device, get a mid tier+ one, even if you wait for bf sales or some clouseout like I did with this thinkpad one. The low tier/super cheap ones don't provide a nice experience, just like regular laptops. Though if you're a "power user" a regular laptop/keyboard will be much better, even though you can flash a different bios (on the x86/64 ones) and install whatever OS you want... If you just need something to remote into other things, browse the web, android, and some "light" linux things (really depends on the CPU/ram), then a chromebook is a viable option. I love this thing on the go since I won't be as sad if it's broken/lost/stolen like I would be with my regular laptop.

Nah just in general. I think 40 hour work weeks aren't really for me

Well I do work way more than that. Around 45-54 hours a week or so. Often Around 50 hours a week on average
