i tried Persistent Windows.. it's soo freaking nice.. imagine you have 3 windows of browser on different displays with certain URLs loaded.. so now you close them, then open again and move to the same displays they were = they will take the size and position they werein b\eore being closed.. this is something i've been suffering with for a while thanks to 1 vertical screen, whenever TV would be turned on or off, the vertical screen would become horizontal for a moment, thus killing the nicely arranged windows where i monitor my stuff... so now not only i can close them and quickly put back without having to arrange and change sizes (like restart when browser eats too much ram), but also they don't even move on TV power on/off.. effing nice!!!

did ctrl+shift+t not re-open them properly? I guess I'm only ever re-opened two browsers windows on different monitors on my desktop but ctrl+shift+t twice re-opened both (with their tabs) on the proper monitor after I restarted (I did have to close the first blank browser window)

that just reopens tabs in browser. then you drag those tabs where windows were and boom they take shape of what they were before closing, so i don't need to stretch them again on the vertical/portrait screen. THE BEST

close the whole browser window(s), not the tab, then open the browser and try it

believe me, maybe you do not see what i mean.. there';s also the moment when i turn off TV and vertical monitor becomes horizontal for 1 moment and windows rearrange and 1 ends up on TV cause it's in such array.. anyway, i tried all methods, and finally i don't need to try again.

  • NO STOP TILL 300 !!

Not the time to slow down guys. Let's goo. The target is so damn clsoe

I tried i3 on Linux once, and decided I am never going to mess with it again. I love how Windows arranges tabs and Windows automatically. Wish there was something like that for Ubuntu, but lighteight.

Oh, so if I'm understanding correctly, it's changing the orientation and number of monitors. Yeah, that will usually force windows to the "active" monitor(s) and resolution(s) which would mess things up.

but ctrl+shift+t will re-open whole browser windows and their tabs, especially after you reboot

Isn't there a 3rd party app for Windows management on multi-monitor setup that manages everything flawlessly? Don't remember its name though.
