  • Currently VPS is down and WHMCS is giving either very slow pageloads or (more often) 504 Gateway Timeouts. Trying to open a support ticket, but can't. I'm on Day 14

    I had a weird problem - rebooted my VPS and it never came back online. (Earlier reboots had been fine). What's more, if I tried to use the WHMCS client area to do a manual stop and start, all was fine until I tried to access the service details page for the VPS. Thereafter, every page on the client area failed with 504 Bad Gateway. I couldn't run "Stop" or "Start". I couldn't open a ticket. I had to wait about 4 hours before I could get back into the client area. This time I opened a support ticket before I got frozen out, and trying again got me back into the 504s. It took them 6 hours to make an initial response to a "service unreachable" ticket, which is way too slow for a critical problem, and all the response said was "try again". Nothing was any different, and I had to say so via email piping because the client area wasn't working.

    I then got a really strange reply from them.

    There was a temporary issue with the London location. If you would like, you can try our new Tokyo location, which is fully operational.

    I explained that I ordered because I wanted London, so if the issue was only temporary, and if it "was" rather than "is" an issue, I'd be happy to wait. How long did they think it would take? I also asked (again) why this was affecting my ability to use the client area. Ignoring both my questions, they simply offered to recreate the VPS in London instead.

    If the issue was with London, that wouldn't work. If the issue was not with the location, my VPS should work, or they should seek to find out why not. And they still didn't acknowledge that their client area was also not working as it should.

    Being within my 14 days, I decided it was time to walk away and ask for the refund they promise.

    Billing.. Got a Deal in 2+1 Free Offer... But now on renewal they are charging me for all 3 servers. 6 Days no response just to fix this one simple thing...

  • I had the exact same problem with the London server during a reboot. Support provided a new server with a new IP address to replace the old one within a few hours. The server is now operational, but the control panel has been down for several days.

    Have you dared to try rebooting it again?

    I wonder why they couldn't assign the same IP address too? I got mine to use as a VPN, so I can handle IP changes, but there is work involved (changing all the places I've got that IP address set to allow traffic through from the VPN)

    I also need a server for a VPN. I updated Ubuntu, and after rebooting, it wouldn't start again. I tried rebooting it several times. After that, the server went into suspended mode. I also have servers in Bucharest, and they don't have these problems; even the control panels work.

    just refund. If you used PayPal to complete your bill, then congratulations. It's been 10 days since they cancelled my service, and I still haven't received a refund.

    The servers are alright, but we had some issues with the control panel. Now it's working as it should, can you confirm?
    You're referring to the panel, or do you have other problems?
