cool thanks for the info. i will keep it in my mind. just 1 thing left - get that gaming rig. noob has divulged his plan to win it and ship it to his relative in USA, who then in turn can take out the gfx card and keep the rest for themselves, and bring that geforce 4060 to noob in India when visiting.. what a shame though.. gaming rigs should be respected more.. some people somewhere spent time putting them together first on paper, then at the plant, usually parts fit each other well together.. anyway, i need to kick it up a few notches, make it as hard for him as humanely possible
hehe, I slept in a little bit and took the doggo on a longer walk than normal. Well, longer than normal for the mornings, it's usually the evenings where we go on longer walks where I let her decide (to an extent) where we walk and for how long.
yeah i get it.. although TBH i don't bite when it tells me a shit load of updates can be applied.. if it works - i am not making it better... but i do see and understand your strategy.. TBPerfH i don't even restart services after installing something new when it says some should or could be restarted.. on hard worker servers that is. unless it's on VPS where it is not so important.. and yeah, i too only use ubuntu 24 now.

sometimes that evening walk is basically not even a block away and we head back. It's seriously her's to decide. Though it's only ever like that in the winter, if we went to the park earlier in the day, or she's not feeling the best (ate something random while walking or got into the trash [rare])
dogs outside have their own agenda. pulling you to side-streets mainly to check out the mail that's there in abundance... many people won't even go 1 block to the park nearby.. so there's a lot to read, a lot to reply.. my sister's last dog is male.. you or rather yours probably don't suffer from all that stuff. the need to speak up...
i keep wanting to say mine, i did spend accumulative months with the dog, my sister has a big position at a big international firm, so she went to like 40 different countries to do checkups, inventories, revisions, all kinds of work.. anyway Sammy really loved goose turds.. OMG... just would find and chow it down like it's some kind of a special meaty treat.. silly goose..

back in the day OVH used to give free IPv4s up to like 18 or so per VPS, 8 or so GEOs that i could get from OVH.ca.. was so great.. and i did get as many as i could for 6 VPS i have long years running with them. then they decided it's time to charge for extra IPs, and not just charge but draconian-ly - $2/IP/month.. who can afford that? i instantly had to pay like $300 a month.. so i had to combine sites from 15 IPs onto 3-4 IPs per VPS, and gave up the most. Now i am planning to give up all 6 servers come February, so now slowly moving sites (not the current work, currently i am losing 3 vps from elsewhere with need to move sites as well) to other servers and giving up those IPs, so i only have like 12 extra IPs now, and every time i give them up, OVH asks why, and i with great pleasure select "too expensive" and then next group "planning to purchase from competitor"... i know my money is just a drop in the ocean for them, yet it gives me pleasure to submit that to them..

Just have one. Kid is 7 but a handful. She's a aery social little person. Got kids around the house like it's a total kindergarten and nothing stopping her from it.
They wreck the place, have fun... I gave up and just roll with it. Kids are the future so I'll just try to teach them something along the way
probably @dustinc will know best.. technically hardware is more expensive nowadays, so it may have been baked into the prices..
i don't even notice it anymore, i do not to use the word child when referring to children, i just say children no matter how many.. something in my head.
sometimes i think about what would be if i had children though.. my wife has lupus and kidney transplant, taking a dozen different anti-rejection pills, so it's always been out of the question. but ever so rarely i do think about it..
