UFC fightpass app to watch stuff, couple of points accounts such as my groceries with digital coupons and Cabbage club for my MJ purchases (in store only so again no moeny involved). basically my new phone is useless if someone takes it and forces me to unlock it for them.. and that is a problem here in chicago, or at least was like half a year ago, reports of people being stopped by multiple vehicles at like 5-6am and forced under threat of gun violence to unlock their phones, quick run thru their apps and here you sit there sending crypto or your account money via some cash app to the fuckers that stopped you on your way to work or something..

my neighbor even had such shit happen to him in front of the house, and others too.. i live next to downtown but where south side begins, so it's quite dangerous, but nothing stops them bad guys, they go deep to supposedly safe neighborhoods and get you there, cause you think you safe.. no.. i mean, Chicago is not dangerous, same like most cities, but sometimes people here come up with methods of parting you from your money which then spread over the country like wildfires in California..

yeah, it's checked and double checked.. android 16 with ONE UI 8. -- AFAIR.. funnily my S22 recently went thru 2 days of back to back updates that somehow got backed up since February.. SO on it i moved from Android 14 to 16 without even checking the 15.. Same for ONE UI - from 6 to 8... not sure why was it waiting more than half year to do that.. I didn't even notice, although new phone is keeping up with all the updates..

That's good. OneUI has come a long way, from freezing upon 2-3 months of use requiring a factory reset every 3 months to being so stable. I heard on the flagships, they have also added multiple customisable options for the UI/UX in the latest OneUI builds.

When that happens, like the whole internet might break down. Same with AWS and CloudFlare. Too many companies depenend on it that. If they all break down, the whole internet will probably crumble!

and they keep building more DCs, more reliance on same, good old same 3-4 companies.. Akamai included..

True, Google is the internet. That's where we are and that's what's scary to me. Shit, I am caught in a loop, back to the original point! Need some sleep. aarrgghhh!

i mean, i started using internet when google wasn't a thing yet, i had to do metacrawler, altavista, yahoo. google changed things. plus i share first name with one of the creators, makes me proud.. LOL.. recently I read about his MEGAYACHT.. wow.. it' seven bigger than Zuckerberg's.. 142m vs 118m.. measuring decks..

have you seen that Saturday Night Live skit about DECKS that needed to be WRAPPED?

Man, only yahoo and google are the names I have heard. Prolly cause we got internet much later than you guys. I mean, affordable internet connection is a newer thing (in the last decade or so) in India.

As for the SNL skit, I haven't. Infact, I have felt that the recent episodes have been a hit and miss, with more misses. I mean, when you compare it with their golden age with Andy Samberg, Kete Mckinnon, etc.

i was using internet in the university special room back in 96.. only got my home thru the university too in 98-99, kinda stole my dean's password.. was so fun when it stopped working so i called and asked why, and gave them my name, and later they caught me live in the building and kept asking how i got password - was it BACKORIFICE? what was it? i'm like - dean left login/password on the desk, i just memorized it when being yelled at for something else...

LOL! This is funnier than the skit!
