ok, I'm back. Quick update of the console, pair a wireless controller, & a quick load a game to make sure it worked. I need to stop at that otherwise I would probably be up all night playing :joy:

Do you have an original cartridge colelction for it already? And, also, share some pics if you can.

I have a few but I also own two different flash carts (everdrive x7 and summercart64). My cart collection for n64 isn't that large though I am waiting for bond (not sure where mine went as I did own it) and perfect dark (borrowed a friends back in the day) to ship to me. Mostly got those because I can overclock on this console so those will play extra nice without the slow downs the original experienced.

A buddy who also pre-ordered it was curious about smash remix on the summercart64 (the cheaper, better, newer, and open source flash cart) so I quickly captured

This looks cool. I love these consoles. I still have a clone NES from 2000s. Will need to check if it still works.

Just on my bed right now since it will be either in my living room or hooked up to my desktop.

Thanks, man. That looks cool. The console itself is a perfect mixture of modern and retro. Love it. BTW< that controller, 8bitdo?

    Yep, a new 8bitdo

Saw them selling these on the analogue website as well. That's cool!

I do have an 8bitdo mod kit for one of my original controllers (arriving Monday). I got it because I thought it would be cool to have an original one wireless and I needed to replace the joystick anyway. The joystick in the mod kit also works with the original controller board so I figured it was a win-win.

Oh, didn't know there were modkits as well. I love their controller design, but, haven't used one yet.

8bitdo controllers are good in general, do recommend :)

    Though that modkti

I see some games requiring me to use the original OEM controller were others I could totally use the new one/more modern controller design. Like I said, I did need a new joystick for one of my controllers so it was a win-win to get the mod it. If I end up hating the Bluetooth/wireless mod of it, I can go back to the original wired board and still use the hall effect joystick. Though if I hate the hall effect joystick, then I'm kind of out of luck but I doubt I will hate it since it's probably the original controller form factor my brain wants more.

Basically it just has better input detection and they don't end up drifting. Honestly, in controllers, I don't notice the difference that much. Though for an actual PC joystick, I do notice the difference.

Yeah, that's basically the only thing I ever notice with them in a controller and that's only with time/usage
