Hehe, the gameboy is actually why I love Tetris and I'm actually fairly decent at it. I eventually save enough for the gameboy and didn't have more $ for any games but tetris came with it so I had something to play until I eventually saved more money. My parents wouldn't buy a gameboy though, they saw how us siblings fought over the snes even with it being 2 players so they thought it would be worse with the gameboy. Though once the super gameboy (snes cart that allowed to play GB games on the TV) came out, they did get that and my siblings would "steal" games from me
THE CHAIR COMPANY is something i kinda enjoyed.. I like the main actor after his "I think you should leave" series, was very unorthodox but super funny and extensively CRINGING show.. i recommend.. "cringe" is the latest iteration of "awkward"...
I don't know, lol!
I guess, that's a universal occurrence in every home. The youngest gets the disconnected controller. It works for quite some time and then they catch on and go on a warpath until everyone's banned from playing video games. Good times though
my first was ZX Spectrum with tape cassettes for data storage.. was maybe 91-92... omg i've broken so may joysticks playing games, my father eventually had a coworker make inside part that always broke out of STEEL ... no problems, i found other parts of joystick to break... plastic.. SABOTEUR was the name of the game...
Didn't even know of this series, esp. since I love Tim Robinson's content. He kinda gives an Andy Samberg-vibes, another comedian I am a huge fan of. I am gonna add this to my list.
beats me..
I do find it funny: I have a steam deck, a switch (oled), and some little handheld emulation device but my pocket gets the most gameplay in bed and on the go. Though you can load cores on it so it opens up many more systems and I don't even need to use a flash cart or my original carts (do have a decent collection but they're all boxed up since I have flash carts)
I tried searching for it as well. Couldn't find any info. on it.
then it's probably deep parallel threading and such.. they also do threads to spit out all the extra airplane-making water.. not on my summer threads.. those are almost bald.. but during no-rain times - super grip. especially after they warm up a little..
I guess what they say is true, old is gold. BTW, I have been trying to get my hand son the new-ish retro in the market called the R36S. It comes with an RK3326 and 1GB RAM. Devs were able to put Lineage OS on it - GTA SA runs!
you will not be disappointed. watch that should leave one, it's freaking hilarious..
Yah, it probably has to do with the way the tyres are treaded to give it some extra grip.
i think i am getting an 20 system gaming emulator from Amazon. you can buy with those old consoles emulated plus up to 100k games preloaded.. cheap too, like under $100 some of them.. HDMI 4k connection, joysticks, all included, crazy how they are not illegal or at least not banned..
I assume you have already seen this one - I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10050772/?ref_=nm_knf_c_2)
This is the series that got me into his brand of comedy and I love it! IF the chair company is anything like it, I will love it too.
quote: Turkey throttles internet access, particularly by slowing down social media platforms and messaging apps during political events, protests, or other critical moments. This throttling is often implemented with little explanation and is frequently combined with website and VPN blocking, making it difficult for users to get reliable information.
but this also happens on daily basis too..
Turkey's "Internet Law" allows the government to order a bandwidth reduction of up to 90% for social media platforms that fail to comply with local regulations.
Oh, you didn't mention a political unrest. Yah, you can expect that from authoritarian or semi-authoritarian Governments now. SOcial media is a powerful tool and they know that as well.
i literally wrote twice about that show already here... check the quotes on this post. but thanks for the rec.
Nice! Yeah, those emulation devices are fun but a lot of them sometime suffer with certain games and consoles. Also, if you played a game a lot on original hardware (like me with snes and gb), you do notice a difference. That's actually why my pocket gets more gameplay than everything else since fpga emulates the hardware so it's like using the original thing. Though it does cost much more than the software emulation options.
90%!! They should just shutdown the internet at that point. SHutting down or throttling internet due to security issues is one thing, but, this is bad.
I might have missed it. My favourite skit from the show was the drive through. What's yours? BTW, these guys too are into a similar brand of comedy:-
Heard of them?
I'm actually waiting for my analogue 3d to arrive, just checked and I guess it should be here tonight! Originally it said tomorrow but I guess shipping went a little faster than hey originally estimated. It's basically a modern fpga remake of the Nintendo 64. I definetly played it a lot as a kid too (friends owned it back then) so I figured I would get it to play some of the stuff I know and some of the things I missed out on.
Oh ya, that's true. FOr example, n64 is a mess on the R36S, from what I have heard. But, yes, what you said is true. Nothing beats the OGs, in most cases.
This is the first I am hearing of this. How did they manage to get Nintendo's licence to manufacture this, given Nintendo goes crazy over their IP/.
Most are illegal, well, the roms they include with it are illegal, the devices themselves are basically little PCs or Android systems. Without them roms, they're 100% legal. The premade things are nice since you don't have to source your own rom, I mean rip your original games, and set things up yourself.
haha a funny one.. situational word play comedy.. =]
never seen before
I discovered them accidentally and hooked since then.
yeah, that's why Nintendo is suing virtually everyone and everything that would touch their games.. cracks, mods or just reselling.. thus i am perplexed why those devices are sold, including nintendo stuff on them..
They didn't, they don't contain any nintendo thing and they actually prevent loading roms on the devices. Though there's usually a "jailbreak" that's release after a little while that enables it (pretty sure the company/devs release it themselves but keep the hardware they sell 100% legit so nintendo can't really do anything).
They also have other systems too. I was originally introduced to analogue with their Super NT (same thing, modern fpga remake of the snes). They also did a few other systems too
