Oh, part of the reason why I actually woke my dog up to go outside is because I'm starting to get tired. Unless it's an emergency for her, I don't like taking her out when I'm tired and ready for bed. Though I'm totally going to be up for a bit (not that tired yet)

Oh, yah. Wish Dustin was here as well. Anyways, we can't stop hyping. Everything's gonna pay off once the chef's here.

To late, I'm out. It's weird using a phone for this 🤣

Isn't it like really cold out there. And, from what I can see it's dawn, right?

Hehe, back now. It's like 34F (think that's like 1C?) outside right now. The pic only looks like that because of the nightsight mode I took it in, it's 23:42 right now

Oh yah. The image did look like one of those images that early night sight on some phones took. What phone is this anyway?

pixel 10 pro xl, if I moved so those garage lights weren't in direct view, it would look a lot better. I've noticed whenever there's a "good" light source directly in frame (at least as close as those are), it doesn't take the best night pics.

Oh yes, I am a Pixel fan as well. Been happy with my P6A for quite some years now.

I got a free year of gemini pro or whatever it's called with the purchase. It is cool and handy but I don't think it's worth the $20/month or whatever it is. I did make a calendar remind to cancel like a week before the end  I'm a big fan of pixels though I normally install grapheneos (copperhead before that split/breakup/whatever you want to call it) to limit things and make it more secure. Though this one, I figured with gemini, I'd give it a try to see what it's like.

Yah, I have heard the deep research on Gemini is actually very useful. As for Graphene, I have always wanted to try it out, but, I held back on it a few years ago, due to the ambiguous legal state of Tor in my country. If I am not wrong, Graphene automatically reoutes all traffic through TOR, rigth?

It does not, all it does is basically remove a bunch of bloat/spyware and patches/hardens some of the android files. It doesn't route through tor or anything. I'm sure there's apps you could install and configure to do that though. You can even re-install google play/services on the phone again but instead of running as root system wide, they're running in sandbox mode just like every other app.

It doesn't mention tor but might be useful to read over some
    https://grapheneos.org/faq

and wow, seems like they're not supporting the 10 series yet. I know Google didn't release some things with asop but last I heard is they found a way around that but I didn't see anything listed on the faq page for the 10 series

Nope, that's right. It's my bad. Infact, upon recollecting, SNowden's tweet mentioned using Graphese with additional Tor routing for best privacy. Unfortunately, I can't yet switch to Graphene to try it out casue, in India, banking apps won't work on rooted or CFW-ed phones.

Yeah, there's no root, you should even relock the bootloader after installing... Though some apps have issues the rely on some Google service and some memory thing. Some things can be bypassed with a toggle switch (basically a compatibility mode toggle) but some things still don't work and you have to use the website/pages instead. The funny thing is, they treat it as insecure but it's actually more secure than the official android. Even leaked slides/promos for various hacking software/devices say how they have issues with graphene os compared to pixels without it.

Though grapheneos isn't for everyone. To some folks, just because you want better security and possibly privacy (as an example, Google can't spy on everything since it's running in a sandbox mode), you're automatically a criminal.

Yes, I can relate to that. The lat time I tried a CFW on an Android (non-Pixel), I found that banking apps won't work at all. You could try workarounds that work for some time. So, I had to move to stock. Since then, I got a Pixel and never felt like installing CFWs anymore.
