It was a 4KB sizes executable file back in MS DOS that featured somewhat of a 1st level of Descent FLYTHRU.. check it out. i mean, you gotta be impressed with it, right? the executable was only 4096 BYTES... this 2min video is exactly what it looked like..

    well, did you watch? are you not impressed? it was 4KB file.. coded using machine code and Assembler.. no? still not impressed?

    i guess nobody these days cares for the tiny stuff that was so freaking cool back in the day.. people made those intros - video effects with music - that would fit into a 256B file.. you know, it's like 4 lines of text here.. without any libraries or whatnot.. all ASM or machine codes, which is essentially the same stuff.

    Oh yeah, the small size is impressive but a lot of stuff was stripped out of it and wasn't a 1:1 scale (at least what was shown in the video). Though size is still impressive.

    Hehe, my personal exposure to asm was old TI graphing calc games and decompiling stuff to skip a cd check, cd key, or modding it to accept anything for the key. Way back when those things were way more simple.

    Yes, I was not even considering these deals at brick and mortar stores. Just the online deals being extremely cheaper compared to what we have to deal with.

    yeah, people are crazy and a lot of times, those TV are BF specific models that are made with cheaper parts and sometimes features removed. That's not to say some are the real thing just marked down... They also like to take things that are $99.99 and say it was $199.99 but the deal is for $99.99 (just throwing some random numbers out).

    well, that all i wanted to hear (read)
    i was really into all these demos and intros and PC made music, graphics, all kinda of stuff. those intros would be 256B, 4KB, 64KB and 4MB and later added no limit category.. what people did was crazy.. most of those coders went on to make games and graphics software, well, mostly games. very popular in Scandinavian countries back then..

    I see most of them being TCL, Hisense and such CHinese brands that mass manufacture and were notorious for using faulty EMMC ships a few years ago. No idea if they have improved any further since then.
