Done with changes, the charts now support zooming in by selecting the frame with the mouse, and a total of 10 users can be selected to show the growth chart from the leaderboard. Also added a nice little affiliate section at the bottom with filters and all, affiliate data is served through my Affiliate data API(data is still being fed manually). You guys can check the latest version live on https://let.redcode.uk

And it's already 2 AM, I guess I should go and sleep. Good night, everyone.

thanks, looks nice!! i was also thinking maybe instead of hours put the days on the bottom axis, like if needed then vertical, and then zoom in still keep days but more hours there... will be easier to see some of the metrics this way. maybe vertical or diagonal dates, or days at least, or just from zero, but still easier than total hours, i assume.. chart has a lot of potential. visualized data is always easier to consume.

Apparently, the megathreads tend to outgrow themselves, so no hourly data feed there unless I want to have the crash due to charts having too much payload to look after. The charts(both daily and growth) are manipulative. If you select a range with the mouse, it will zoom into that range unless you click on reset zoom.

no i just meant put days on the bottom axis rather than hours, you know? like day 1, day 2, etc... best - RL dates. i think. that is not to do with any data, just cosmetic

lol i am not doing style any changes tonight, it's already past 2:30AM maybe perhaps remind me tomorrow :)

i was gonna get myself an e-book reader that can work with FB2 format, but then i saw they sooo freaking expensive.. and then i noticed most are 7" display.. and then i realized my new S25 edge is 6.7 display.. and thus i found me a book reader right here on my desk. just installed an app that reads FB2 and been reading ever since.. like 2 weeks now.. LOL.. i had a long long long time just watching tv and no reading.. finally back to reading books.

i love fantasy. and sci-fi. to read and to watch. sci-fi more to watch, fantasy more to read.

Cool! I do have an e-reader but I basically only use epub files

my sister does too, she's also into fantasy, but refuses to read what i read because her kindle won't work right with PDFs that i gave her years ago.. now she won't read my stuff cause of something that was 10 years ago.. whatever... more excitement for me.. silly woman..

on my screen i replied right after your 2 posts about it. now i see it wasn't... i considered adding the quote but figured it's close enough.. next time i will recheck.

Ohh wait, I just noticed the Page span below the growth chart is overflowing

also tooltip with names and numbers above the chart is not sorted in any way.. maybe worth sorting it descending

oh, i see, it's sorted by CHR or whatever you call it, it's ABC and caps are ahead of non-caps (can;t recall what they non-caps called)..

Here's the setup i have, a docker host running the zipline container with db offloaded to my DB server(with lsw) data source for zipline is set s3 (Backblaze b2). One can deploy zipline and db on a single server like many but i tend to separate my database servers from the runtime server. Screenshots are stored to b2 and i can enable replication for redundancy without doing any sort of backups, but i do make backups just in case.

I use imgur for images like the ones I post here. I've had an account forever and it just works. Also don't need to publish everything. Publish means it will be posted publicly, not published/hidden means only those with the link can see it.

P.S. Just checked under my account settings, it's almost been a decade since I created an account on imgur: 2015-11-26 00:54:19 GMT

Some flash sales in the EU would be great right now :)

You can expect some Dublin flash sales when the chef is around. Dustin did mention they are actively working on bringing some Dublin stock. And, from what I remember, any EU location works for you, right>?

YES! Any EU location would work. NY could work, but it's just waste of bandwith :D

I see. From what I can remember, RackNerd might have Dublin, France (Strasbourg, iirc) and Germany in stock during flash sales.

As resellers from OVH, Hetzner, or Leaseweb?

right? comes to mind as well. but TBH i wouldn't mind a Hetzner slice that'll only cost like $7/yr.. i never use that much CPU they offer, never need too much BW, my VPS use maybe 3-4TB/mo and CPU - peanuts, same for RAM, i mean, who wouldn't use more RAM if its there, but also I got that Gullo's VPS with 256MB and worked fine for me.. so i am always fine with 1vCPU and 1GB RAM for specs.. DISK doesn't matter at all..

You use a hypervisor with your home lab? I used to use vcenter but the whole broadcom killing it after buying vmware made me jump ship to proxmox. Honestly though, I am likely proxmox better since there's more "enterprise" features compared to the free version of vsphere.

Proxmox is pure love 😘 also using the same was previously using plain docker.

  • @TrK i think what is the bottom axis anyway? did i miss it? thought it was hours since start but it's like 167 now which is more than 1 week while it's only 5 days... in any case, if you can turn it into days since start or 12hr marks or something.. not sure if it'll automatically work with hours when zoomed in..

and also i'd personally appreciate a favicon. i like bookmarks to be favicons without texts.. anything would do.. same @MrEd - can you put a favicon with it? not sure if it is easy or not (in both cases)...

Just host your very own zipline server and couple it with shares, easy and awesome.

I'm currently using a hostbrr storagebox to host my screenshots. It's pretty nice and i have like 1 TB of storage.
I store the screenshots using webp to save storage and bandwidth.

mine is all zipline coupled with b2 storage for free, 10gb is more than enough for screenshots, i guess the hostbrr 1tb storage is purely for backups.

Yeah I mainly use it for backups, but sometimes I use it for some screenshot sharing too!
I should probably just switch to b2 or iDrive e2, both have a 10 GB free plan!

I know they released a new free version of vsphere but requires a clean install, can't upgrade in place. I also don't trust them to keep releasing updates for it. Though as I said, proxmox has way better features that I'm not going back to vsphere. I do wish the proxmox folks allowed for a home lab license of sorts where you donate what you want and get access to the "enterprise" repo but still have no support (outside yourself and forums). Though I don't have any issues with the no-subscription repo

Well that's how I am doing things as well, just enable the repo when really want to upgrade else just disable the repos and only get based is updates. Been pretty stable like that for me.
