Bruh. A ramstick which costed €90 on average in may, now costs €250 on average
Nope, he's not! All you can do is post and hope he sleeps more often and gets stuck at work/afk. Though, there is still 31 more days until the engangement end! I do hope I stick to it and get 5th or 6th place as I know the higher places will be much harder to get and I definetly don't have that type of commitment or motivation to do it. Sadly, might even lose it for the 5th/6th place too like previous years. I start strong and then it kind of goes to meh, especially when I get down by like >=30 posts since I'm not normally one to spam
I'm not saying others with high counts spam but it's about the only way to catchup when you get further behind. That or you reply to like every other comment even if you don't really have much to say on it.
When do y'all think the pricing is going to be normal again?
Probably a while. I'm thinking it will be like how GPUs were with mining and ai
How long would "a while" be?
yeah could be!
Its not spam if you are trying to carry on a conversation asynchronously, especially since a lot of us are spread around the globe
until manufactures make a special version that's better/faster for ai and even then, I doubt the market will go back to the pre-demand days. Sad too because I was hoping to upgrade my gaming desktop (mb/cpu/ram) this coming summer but I think I might just stick with what I got and just continue to save $
Very true
Huh like a NPU but for ram? I am afraid I may be misunderstanding...
Hello, I would like to double my bandwidth.
Invoice #19118828
Thanks!
I love the generated pfp for @wanyuxi... it looks kinda like a happy old man to me XD
yeah, some type of ai specific (like npu/ASIC) thing so they get better value with that and more likely to leave the "normal consumer" stuff alone
And I'm just trying to build a pc. I currently have a laptop, but it's pretty trash in terms of performance when playing games.
I wonder if there is any value in them developing that when they have as much money as they do, and can just use things that are already mass produced
he keeps talking that sooner or later he'll be busy, but seems only to be ramping up more and more. well, i do too hope for the upcoming days, because next week i am out for 2 days of the 7, we'll see how it progresses.. i am still telling myself that it's a test, a test of 2 weeks, then we shall reevaluate..
But hasn't AI been existing for like a few years now? Why the sudden jump then?
and around time zones, although very few actually care what's going on when they away sans the giveaways or other events. i am now going to give a quick look to the prev 5 pages though.. it's only been 1.5hrs so ..
Hi, I would like to double the bandwidth.

Thxs
yeah it seems now the only way to snag something cheaper is to buy a prebuilt PC those that's been sitting in warehouses for a while and have parts from a year or two ago... especially big name retailers.. quite often it makes sense to buy even a gaming rig that has cool insides and upgrade 1 or 2 things, but keep the main build as is. IMHO
Well I alr bought a cpu + motherboard tho
You can, but I can't pay for someone else's order, that's what I was told. Damn, dude, I'm paying with cryptocurrency. Should I send you $10? And you can buy it yourself. I just wanted to give you some joy and a new mug for your collection.
GPU's for crypto were the reason of the rise of Nvidia.. Now it's due to AI.. some predictions are that Nvidia will reach 20 trillion market cap by 2030, that is freaking 4 years from now, and a growth of roughly 5 times.. my nvidia stock is already 14 or so times up...
i'm not saying you shouldn't, it's part of the fun finding something somewhere that'll fit you best.. i've bought by parts and build more than a dozen PCs just for myself over the years. but at this time of commerce - i would just buy pre-built.. there're tons of old parts that need to be sold, and as a whole you get extra steeper discounts, not visible but already precalculated into price. just my opinion though..
LOL where is it? online? or just on request? i mean, i'd be happy to get the mug as a present for new year's celebration for sure, but doing by taking your money, is not my style
lets see, maybe you win 1 in a giveaway - then you could just redirect it to me or something like that, if you still wanna do it.. i do really appreciate it though.

i kept thinking about it, and kinda figure it was re-replying some old stuff.. that's why i personally try to reply rather fresh, just a few pages back, like now- just 5 pages.. had to get up and leave, and some storylines went on without me..
but i do find it easier and more productive to jump in on the ongoing stuff, although with activity rates from multiple others, i start to lag anyway..
I mean he may fall into the sunk cost fallacy and sacrifice performance and sleep for it XD
i like the chart there on top.. when it gets more dense, it will be much easier to see, but already visible - @noob404 has the biggest angles, and getting longer too. it's interesting to see. nothing to request though.
