    i know what you mean. it's all good between strong, hard, sweaty guys.

    but on a different note, i just got my new hotspot modem box, and it was working good with ethernet cables, but started slacking and now i am back on WIFI 2.5GHz connection to my PC no less, not laptop, desktop.. who else does desktop on WIFI? i don't know anyone... but the wifi dongle was def cheaper than getting new mobo or whole new setup

    what about a old gigabit PCIe card?

    i now have a built-in mobo 1Gbit ethernet port and a separate 2.5gbit PCIe cart purchased separately. neither one can hold the connection for long enough, my SSH connections fall,. it's ridiculous. that happens also with 5/6GHz WIFI connection.. the only good and stable is the 2.5Ghz WIFI, it's a bit slower than others, but at least it can keep up the connection without drops and such.. just don't get it, and hate it when technology doesn't respect me.. you know? been messing with stuff since 92.. and in 2026 i cannot understand why simplest of things is so damn buggy.. sometimes it drops connection when i login to a whats-my-ip type of website. how does that do it? i'm in th middle of SSH connected setup of new VPS, check my IP to add it to firewall, and boom, internet is lost for 3 minutes... it's just plain stupid.. and annoying.. that is one of the biggest reasons i need new PC, gaming rig or not..
