How do y'all backup your photos from your phone etc?

I've got a paid Google account, so it is enough space. Also I use Mega and my own Nextcloud.

    Gemini Pro 2TB?

Google One: Your membership includes 200 GB of storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos.

    25 GBP/year

Ah, ok. So, this doesn't include Gemini Pro. I believe there is 1 year free for students.

No, just storage. It's ok for 25 gbp/y

Yah, I was just saying, if you were a student you could get Gemini Pro 2TB free for an year.

I could probably get that, but I would need to cancel it on time as I don't want to suddenly pay like €20/month xD

Yah, you need to be cautious. Another caveat that is missed is that your Drive storage ges back to 15 GB from 2TB once the offer ends.

    Oh yeah that too

I believe they just cut off incoming Gmail messages as well.

I'm slowly switching to proton for my mail. I currently have about 45 GB of photos on my phone. It would probably take 15-20 GB storage when compressed.

  • @BasToTheMax Thanks for the invite dude. Will join once this thread ends. For now, we got the thread and we have to create maximum hype right here, so that we can see the chef very soon.

Proton from what I have heard is safer. But, I have found it to be slower than Gmail for receiving verification emails on manywebsites.

Yeah it can be a bit slower, but I haven't really had any issues with that. They usually arrive within like a minute.

I didn't mean extremely slow, just slower than Gmail.

    @Homwer said: @noob404 do you get a full ipv6 /64 ?

Nah, RN offers only individual /128, and you can request upto a 100 of them.
Available only in 3 locs tho: LA DC2, LA DC3 and FR

How much do they cost and when or what purpose would you recommend I get an ipv6?

It's free, you just need to request it and be in a location that supports it.

I've noticed in some cases v6 has a slightly better latency/routing when compared to v4, but I mainly use v4 itself.
At this moment, v6 is just a nice to have for me.

i just scraped that from mine, it's pointless, but i would love to see an API only endpoint if Ed is willing to do that.

You mean, when next update will be done? Should not be too hard :)
