Does anyone want to share some detailed feedback on a project API I am working on right now?

    What's the project about? :)

This thread only, it's counter :joy:

Tried hosting a minecraft server on an 1 GB racknerd vps. Ram and swap usage went insane!

i have spare capacity to do that, one my homelab and on one of my VDS.

I also have some spare capacity on my contabo vps, but I want to be a real LET member and go as lowend as possible. xD

Yes, I use contabo. I think I pay like €12/month for 16 GB ram. Has been pretty stable so far and my minecraft server runs fine. (mods listed above). Only world generation is a bit heavy, but doable if no other players are online.

Worldgeneration like in normal play or flying around with an elytra?
My homelab, i3 12100, is struggling when flying. Bit annoying.

Vanilla server? If so, why not switch to Fabric and install c2me? c2me makes world generation multithreaded, if im correct

Yes you are right. It gives you about 35% more chunk speed. But i don't want to wait for spigot's new version - its just me and my son playing - so we're keeping it simple.

Yeah understandable. My vps is currently using ~660 MB of ram according to hetrixtools. This is the OS + docker + minecraft server. So pretty neat!
Haven't tried joining it yet, we'll see how the ram usage is then!

share the ip if you like :)

I have sent you a message!

  • Anyone still facing issues with Cloudflare or is it all hunky dory for you guys?

  • Hello,
I’m interested in the “2.5 GB KVM VPS – $18.66 per year” offer.
Before ordering, could you please confirm what the renewal price will be after 1 year (or after 2 years)?

Hey, I am not Dustin. But, have been a RackNerd customer for 2 years. The renewal prices remain the same for the years. But, just to be sure, you can have direct confirmation from @dustinc or you can directly chat with the RackNerd chat support and get information regarding the same within a minute or so, if you are in a hurry.

some saas platforms and API only services, example tld-list, etc.

  • nice offer!

  • You guys can try the API live on https://let.redcode.uk/211640

My scraper isn't all that powerful and slow, i have set the intervals randomly from 5 minutes to 10 minutes. Sometimes it just fails, but overall, that was a good exercise.

No, those are definitely gone, but, there are minor errors while posting and such. I guess, it should be fixed soon.

How much do they cost and when or what purpose would you recommend I get an ipv6?
