Long forgotten ancient weather prediction method of observing Archimedies asshole veins for potential signs of bad weather
After a fart, the forecast is windy
or stormy
ya it was down for whole hour . my site was down for 59 min . seems like their AI bots had pushed some code lol
Laughed in public for this fuck you
A very good postmortem from cf, as always.
Well well well
By the way, if you are on paid plan - you may demand SLA credits:
https://www.cloudflare.com/enterprise-support-sla/
After the recent AWS downtime, I was thinking to move from Cloudflare just because to don't have websites through them like all the people. I think I was waiting for a sign like this, it came and I finally decided to move all my things to Bunny (aff/non-aff)
LE: I also predict this here:
Aside from global distribution why you people still using these expensive (from me it's ripoff ) services, with these costs, you can distribute you services on 3 racks around the world (west north east ), and still pay less/more reliable and even faster.
If you're referring to Cloudflare, it's free to use, that's why 20% of websites use them. It's not expensive at all. Managing your own CDN is possible but more expensive and takes more time, with Cloudflare it's only a few clicks.
That's the reason, because of the ease of use, this is why I prefer to even pay for CDN instead of building one.
I was referring to bucket alike services (AWS,BunnyCDN.GoogleCloud) they all abuse their services, I remember guy got 10k$ bill from AWS because some bot glitch make it downloading all his images in a loop he solved the bill issue later, but i'm sure many companies still pay premium for bandwidths, neither to mention node(files read/write limitations ) they can stop your server for stupid reasons.
I now and many (companies) are doing for that reason, I agree it's easier reliable etc.. but to be honest having your own CDN (in case you even need it) it's not that hard, it just initial setup kinda complicated but all tools are available to everyone.
