But LET uses cf too?
For my it's only partial. LET and downdetector work, but things like fabric API don't.
@MrEd How often is the leaderboard site updated?
Use custom WAF and load balancers(under construction for me with safeline and will probably go with aluy and buyvm for DMCA free headache)
I guess, only some of their servers are down and since I am connecting from Asia, maybe that's why. And, you are right. LET is on CF as well.
I believe every minute or so.
I was going to completely take it off CF for the time being.
From what I remember, he last said 5 minutes.
Could have been bypassed temporarily(done on some my clients web)
Every 5 minutes
Ah okay
Possibly. If it doesn't come back online in an hour or so, I will have to pause as well.
Isn't the project still running completely on an RN VPS?
That's the way to go forward. I am for once is fed up with CF and will eventually move everything to custom CDN + WAF solution later on.
I have wanted to do that as well, but, isn't that expensive?
Scraper at home rest at vm....
Why not use something like Bunny.net?
Oh yah, thanks for reminding me. Is the scraping that intensive that it has to be offloaded to a local machine?
Not likely everything depends on user consumption and cdn bandwidth
Due to Cloudflare outages, I can't connect to Racknerd including main web, vm Panel and status page. At least status page should be deployed out of Cloudflare.
It is, and I have also provided yabs for the VM it is running on several pages ago. But for scraping I also need a small part on my home lab server
I guess, every commercial option does come with caveats like the current CF outage which is why people are moving to own solutions.
BTW, completely forgot about @FrankZ . Is the legend joining this year?
CF is known to present WAF if you try to open a website from hosting/vpn/business IP residential is they way
Yah, that's what I am scared of.
Scraping is done on the VM also, home VM is needed only for residential IP.
Just noticed. You are right. Even RackNerd is down. This is unfortunate, right at this time. But, I am pretty sure, their awesome service team is already fixing it.
Bunny can still be affected and I guess they don't have a good WAF solution comparable to CF, but what can we do is bunny for cdn and a safeline server in front for WAF maybe it work.
Why not just do everything including scraping it using the server. Is it due to Colocrossing's IP being blocked by LET's CF rules?
Oh yah, it's slowly coming back to me. I just realised that we had this exact convo last year as well. PArdon me.
Its not CC IP, its all datacenter IPs. CF rules only allow to access LET pages for residential users.
