Hi @Homwer -- great question! To be transparent, EU simply carries a higher operational cost -- power, space, and overall datacenter overhead in that region have shifted quite a bit over the years. Instead of rolling those costs into every plan (which would force us to raise prices across the board), we separate it out so only those who specifically want that region take on the added cost. Everyone else still gets the same aggressive deals RackNerd is known for, but honestly, even with that added EU cost, some may still argue the deals are pretty aggressive compared to what's out there (and the unique/strategic locations in the EU that we operate in).
That said, keep in mind this year, we've activated the Wheel of Fortune too so you can spin for a chance to win additional savings off your order, so that can help offset some of the cost as well:

Hi @Saragoldfarb -- fun fact, a lot of folks actually treat our France location as a Germany option interchangeably. We're in Strasbourg, not Paris like most providers, so you're looking at only a ~3ms difference to Frankfurt. For most use cases, it behaves nearly identical to DE in terms of latency and feel. Though for DE proper, we only offer shared/reseller hosting services there at the moment.
