fiberstate server is down.
Seeing an issue and we are investigating
Same server is down
@fiberstate
There must be a problem with the network; we're still waiting!!!
Even though it was mentioned on your website that you don’t have any down time, it’s down every day.
Wrong timing...
Unable to ping my servers.. 2nd time within 60 dayals
help
This was a partial network impact in Salt Lake City and is now resolved. We are continuing to monitor. There was an issue with a core spine switch and has been replaced.
Looks like mine is back up again
Thanks. It's ok now.
One is up. Another one down
Please open a ticket and we'll check.
XPL-322016
Just before BFCM.
@fiberstate This is just a suggestion: host your website with a different hosting provider. When your server goes down, your customers are unable to open support tickets.
Ticket #XPL-322016
Almost 2 hrs 😑
@fiberstate
Same goes for the status page
We'll be implementing this shortly across multiple PoP sites.
Actually that is a good idea from providers perspective.
But: an externally hosted status page does wonders in reducing individual tickets being opened in case of outage.
And no: posting on X won't help as nobody wants to read anything on X anymore.
(This is general advice, not for this specific provider or outage incidence.)
Based on how they’re handling these incidents, it’s quite clear they don’t really understand the basics of running production critical services. Even a beginner would know that WHMCS and status page should never depend on the same server that goes down.
The main reason people keep posting on LowEndTalk every time their server goes down is because their WHMCS isn’t working. They don’t seem to realize how much this ends up hurting their own business. @fiberstate
