Cheap S3 Storage
Hi!
For some of my backup needs I need just very cheap S3 storage. I see some offers go as low as 4$/TB, but there are a lot of non-S3 compatible storage offerings that offer a better price.
I don't want to deal with Glacier and 'Deep Cold' S3 type of storage. Just plain, simple, cheap S3 storage. The backups are encrypted and already stored in safer places. This would just be a very last resort destination.
Bandwidth can be 1:1 and 100Mbps would be fine enough.
What are some cheap options out there? Maybe any good BF offerings already?

Their offer of $4/TB is a solid one. But I'm curious what other, even better, offers are out there. They don't have to be of top notch quality. Paying per used GB/TB is much appreciated.

If self-hosted minio is an option, you can get some S3 storage well below $4/TB.

There is a problem with minio, I would suggest garage or other alternatives.
Mega S4 is €2.50 per TB but you need to get the base plan which includes 3TB storage and 3TB transfer for €15 per month.
This is a good deal for larger storage needs. I only need around 2TB.
Just curious if there are offerings beneath that $4/TB mark @systemfreaks has set.
Both are solid, but not the best very best deals we’re looking for here on LET for non-critical backup stuff I think

Get a storage VPS and install minio, seaweedfs, or garage on it.
Though that might be a nice low budget solution you are losing the replication, which is included in most object storage offers , and critical for file integrity.
Our service starts at $2/m for 500 GB which makes it perfect for this case .
Yeah, I know I did just get a storage VPS so I could use it for a few other things beyond storage, but I don't want to give up that SystemFreaks setup because of the value. I honestly am content doing both.

The website display the price per TB but minimum order is 500 GB maybe we should make that more obvious
Not sure if this fits your requirement, or completely not but i'm going on a hunch you have a spare VPS being on LEB.
You should look into the project https://docs.sfive.net/, really reliable i'm using his code in production, only tweaks made to base are superficial for our usecase.
Infinite storage, you set pricing terms via Sia.tech, crypto storage. I pay on average around 1.3/M TB, great for on-demand backups, really good for long-term.
