Only in dedicated servers, but VPS Nano includes IPv6.

@AvaHosting Okay great, thanks a lot for the info! I just tagged all VPSs with both IPv4 & IPv6, changes will propagate to the website in ~2 hours. In case some correction is needed just let me know.

speedtest in both directions is fine without major losses on tcp and udp, but dns queries to 1.1.1.1 fail often and tcp handshakes too. I've never seen anything like this

at first they wanted to fix the issue by changing my ip which obviously won't work, then they switched to

after a more detailed verification with our CTO, we confirmed that the issue is not related to the network but rather to the configuration settings on the server.

i asked which server and got

The issue is not related to our node.
According to our checks, the network and hardware of the host server are stable

so they say that the issue is on my side, ok, i tried to reinstall the OS but the button in the control panel simply doesn't work (tried chrome and firefox), so i used https://github.com/bohanyang/debi to reinstall my current ubuntu 24.04 to debian, but the installer failed because of bad network (i used this script on 4 different providers without an issue before).

sad conclusion is that they didn't get better after the "microsoft reported your ip" incident. there are multiple servers with the same issue, for example

217.156.67.11
they all report the same packet loss as my ava vps (and it gets worse day by day)

20 days until the server expires, im glad i didn't renew

I don't think this will be possible. Since the VPS Nano is already for that things.
Can you open a ticket support? Maybe then can do since you require less RAM.

there was 6% average loss on smokeping and you think that's good? i literally couldn't install debian until it was night because it was erroring and you didn't see anything wrong? were you checking in the night?

smokeping is better today (only 1% loss during the day, which is still really bad), but curling 1.1.1.1 looks exactly the same as before (gets stuck on tcp handshake often because syn or synack is lost).

just make a new VM on cl-ava-node4 and run curl 1.1.1.1 like 20 times, or even take my vps, i don't use it anymore

btw reinstall button still doesn't work

nope, no fix, it's bad again today, 43 failed dns queries out of 200

you will get false alarms, read my posts above. for uptime monitoring it's better to use something like aws free tier (free for 1 year) or oracle free tier (indefinite)
