$100-$200/year, looking for a VPS with a real 10G port, around 200GB NVME SSD, unlimited bandwidth (no speed limits, use freely).

How much would this usually cost?

  • at this price point your best bet is to find a scammy provider that offers 10G and "unilimited bw" then after you get banned, find another one

  • You won't get this for $100/month.

10g unmetered? Normally a few 100 per month.

Cheapest would be to use e.g. four VPS-6 by OVH in VIN|HIL|BHS which would be around $240/month if you can divide the traffic into different machines. But it might be likely that OVH will kick you (though there are reports here at LET - I think by @concept - that they don't).

E.g. here: https://us.ovhcloud.com/vps/configurator/ choose VPS-6, without commitment it's $53.40 times 4 (plus sales tax/GST/VAT) for 12G unmetered divided into four VPS.

unsure but i assume 20-40€/m sounds resonable for me
like, data in EU/US isn't expensive, but isn't cheap theier... someone told me 1TB costs them 50 cents
    so idk, do the math

EDIT: did the math and if 1tb costs 50 cents then it's about 1.6k€ monthly for data
your best bet is to find someone with dirt cheap data, or well, i dont know, why would you need unmetered?!?

  • You are far more likely to get this deal by splitting traffic between multiple unmetered VPSs. Ideally with multiple providers.

Smaller capacity can be (and mostly is) cheaper per Mbit/s, because that what's going spare in a lot of DCs. Unless you are willing to commit to 100Gbits, that won't change.

Maybe it will be easier if you can say usage range in TB. Unlimited is..something which is hard to estimate

you just estimate someone will use 100% :)

Unlimited would be at least a few hundred per month. Bandwidth isn't that cheap.

Is OVH VLE-4 the same as VPS-6?

  • Nope, VLE-4 was a different limited edition product.

But VPS-6 has 3gbs unlimited in Europe and North America. That's why I would recommend that one.

  • SmokyHostsSmokyHosts Member, Patron Provider

In my opinion, setting some limit would get you a better chance to get some reasonable offers rather than unmetered @ 10Gbps. The limit can be a 50TB/month and doesn't have to be the usual 5-10TB.

Unmetered @ 10Gbps would take you into 3 digit figures per month and not per year.

you just estimate someone will use 100% :)

Full usage of 10gbps per 1 month is around ~3.25 PETABYTE. This is going to be expensive.

not if he intends duplex :)

Highly doubt it that he is going to do full-duplex. He can check providers like VSYS, Alexhost, Ava, Lyra, ZetServers. Cheapest being Alexhost around $250
