NameCrane vs. Ethernet Servers
I've narrowed down my search for very basic shared web hosting to NameCrane and Ethernet Servers. Please share how they stack up to each other in all regards.
Feel free to add additional, similar, providers that fall into the same category as these. But I'd still like opinions about how these two compare to each other and any other providers suggested.

Thanks for the consideration!
Feel free to shoot me a DM if you've any questions
Lots of features on our part
We're just about done a major hardware refresh too.
Thanks for the interest!

Hmm I vaguely remember another thread with almost the same title
Yes. This one.

Do you have uptime monitor for your shared plans servers?
I can certainly get that for you. Do you have a location you'd be interested in seeing? We've Singapore, France, UK, and USA.
Please, check your DMs.
My question, mainly, was if there's a qualitative or performance differential between the aforementioned providers.
Namecrane NY DA reseller hosting, uptime for a static empty file:
The NY nodes haven't been upgraded yet. I think the CPU gets overloaded sometimes. The response times goes as high as 14 seconds.
My monitor for a WP site on the same server has a couple failed requests the past month. Heres the uptime report on it (GET request to a WordPress "privacy policy" page):
I believe @NameCrane is more scalable and better value for money. I think reseller packages are better as they give you more control even if you're only using them for yourself.
However, if you are determined to get the best deal given you are only looking at web hosting packages, my advice is the following:
Take the plan you want with each host for a month and or their lowest priced package and use those to benchmark load times etc.
You can also ask them for a free trial and or introductory offer to reduce the outlay but don't be shocked if they refuse.
In regards to other providers you may consider: @xHosts
How are they more scalable?
What kind of additional control might I benefit from a reseller package?
Why do you suggest them, of all options? How do they compare to the aforementioned two providers? How long have they been providing services?
NameCrane are more scalable as their reseller packages are better value and hosted on significantly better hardware.
Additional controls with a reseller account include monitoring, access to CloudLinux limits and sometimes MailChannels or similar. You also tend to get the best deal for hosting multiple sites rather than buying X shared accounts. The hierarchy goes something like User > Reseller > Master in terms of what you can access and or control.
Only for the reason that they are cheap and may lead you to another solution other than CPanel/DirectAdmin. Your post implies to me you are after the lowest cost but best performing low end shared hosting offers. They do however, resell 20i. If it works for you, you can probably get a deal from 20i yourself. It's not great but it's OK.
I cannot speak for Namecrane but I've been very happy with Ethernetservers.
As I do not use shared hosting it might not be as applicable to you but I can tell you that the support is both great and replies very quickly
Hello,
We're launching our web hosting/reseller hosting services this week.
We offer Plesk, LiteSpeed Server, CloudLinux, and Imunify360. While we're not the cheapest, we believe our annual promotions are quite reasonable.
If you have any questions, we're here to help
Literally no one in this thread tag or ask you about this.
Feel free to add additional, similar, providers that fall into the same category as these
Hello,
Why this aggression towards me? I don't think I'm speaking ill of anyone.
The user is asking for some advice. If you think this is inappropriate, I will ask the administrators to delete my comment.
Could anyone share their experience with the DA Reseller Hosting (SG location) from @NameCrane? I’d like to get one for some of my clients but want to know how reliable it is for production use.
It's your image that you have built
We appreciate your feedback. Have a great start to the week!
We're continuing to work on improving
Thanks!
No, Ha!
It's ideal to separate domains and even subdomains using subaccounts for better isolation. Makes management easier and is far more secure.
I have like 8 accounts for one of my domains since I utilize subdomains extensively.
