20TB+ Storage Server in EU, Dedicated
Hello,
I am looking to buy a storage server in EU locations, preferably Netherlands, Germany, or France.
Specifications:
8+ core CPU
32GB+ RAM
1x SSD (480GB+) + 20TB+ HDD storage (at least 2 drives)
50TB traffic
1Gbit/s network speed
Budget: below 100 Dollar
Is it worth waiting until Black Friday sales?

Per month?
Edit: my reading skills gone down. My bad.
Did you look at hetzner auction?
AMD hetzner servers filtered

Slightly above your budget, but a lot higher spec.
We have 1 remaining of these:

First come, first get basis, as always.
If you have time and desire to play, you can also monitor the OVH thread nearby - there should be a Xeon E-2236 with 32 GB RAM, 512 GB NVMe SSD and 4x12 TB SAS HDD for approx. 60 EUR/m soon. But it is hard to tell when exactly it will be available.
At OVH I have bought 2 servers with 4 x 4TB + 1 x 480GB NVMe, each server for $26.6 USD.

Other 4 x 6 TB ... $61 monthly

Bump. Any options with iGPU and 18k+ passmark cpu rating?
Ah, that's a little tight but I have something like this:
AMD Ryzen 3600
64 GB RAM
500 GB NVMe SSD
2 x 10 TB HDD
1 Gbit Unmetered Bandwidth
Lowest I could do on this is $130/mo
This is just resold oneprovider (scaleway specifically), I know OP is banned but whatever
Runaway
Unforunately this is to expensive for a R3600 with 2x10TB. That config would cost me the half in hetzner SB/oneprovider.
I wondered how he was banned..this is his only post.
LET would be a better place if all the resellers got banned, so thumbs up from me on the mod decision.
yeah for sure, Hetzner would come out cheaper. I see they have some 4 x 16 TB options for about 71 EUR (exc VAT if applicable), pretty good!
Yes, thats a really good price already, but I am unsure if I will be able to add a 1TB NVMe for L2ARC Cache.
Ah, if it helps the server I offered can have much larger HDDs, if that changes anything. We could go for 24 TB HDD too.
What is it about resellers that makes them ban-worthy? I'm genuinely curious here.
I've had my two VPS (from PureVoltage) that I purchased during Black Friday 2024, and I've had no issues at all.
Is there a list of resellers that should be avoided?
There are resellers and there are scalpers. Proper resellers are those who sell servers from providers who explicitly have a reseller program like Leaseweb, and you have resellers like seedhost, hostdzire, eqservers, etc. They're fine and provide value by adding competition to the market.
Scalpers are those who buy servers and just resell them at an inflated price under a superficial company name, meaning they own nothing provide no service other than to rip you off. I'm sure everyone knows how it feels to be ripped off by Ticketmaster (they provide a marketplace for scalpers) and understand why scalpers should be banned and possibly be thrown into the deepest pits of hell.
