Octave said something like "vive les API" after the KS-A incident when then had to cancel 10000 orders. And you can even ask on their discord for help with the API if you're stuck, I did when I was building something to see if the VPS-1 would come back in stock, got an (great) answer straight away.

What stopped me from getting any server was the low uplink.
You expect 10gig on a server which you pay 12$/m for? wat.
If you need better uplink, you can buy KS-2

I ordered a KS-LE-D, they gave me a 8.5 year old hard drive, and network speeds were barely pushing 300mbps, got my refund instantly

Actually I think it is very different.
With the PS5 or GPUs, bots are often not allowed by the retailers.
With OVH? They tell you how to use the API. You don't even need to be violating anyone's terms.
This whole thread boils down to using the API if you care enough to want a server that badly.
Even better is that the scripts are available from various trusted members. And with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini etc. you can figure out if they're trustworthy and how to run them easier than ever.
OVH don't care who buys them. They've worked out that these old servers that have paid for themselves already are still more profitable to run than replace. Sure, some might scalp one or two for $130 but OVH are selling them by the thousands or tens of thousands.

Seeing the formfactor 1U in hardware api already surprised me, I thought they would do blade on those (KS-5, KS-1,KS-2,KS-LE-B etc).

They had desktop mobos at one point in the sandybridge/ivybridge era machines. That's why there is no KVM on them.

I would bet that part of the reason Kimsufi exists is basically to delay having to rip everything out to replace with their new designs whilst it is profitable.
