Yeah, one thing is the "we can do it technically" but the other question is: does it make sense? I don't get it, so somebody please enlighten me about the use(case) of 3 NVMe setups (yes, I would understand the read speed gain with Raid1 (or Raid0), but would rather prefer Raid10 with four disks all the time).
i think ks-le-e will be the easter egg because ks-mystery had a lot of upgrades you could easily get a 1650v4 128gb 450x2 nvme instead of v3 with 64gb and 480x2
also the let model might be a mystery as well without guaranteed stuff you will get what available but we need to see the prices on those
IIRC most DDR3 old platform don't support using NVMe as boot drive, they can only boot from a SATA device..
I just hope I can get a <€15 (incl tax) server with a decent CPU (5000+ passmark multi), 16GB RAM and 3x SATA HDD, preferably 4TB.
How would you use those? Any raid setup? Which raid level?
RAID5, just like the KS-2 4x4TB I use right now.
So you'll have one parity drive. It's for fine media server usage.
i think its for raid 5 setup you will get:
tolerate 1 drive failure.
get 2 × drive size in usable space.
great read speed, decent write speed.
Never tried Raid5, maybe have to dive in once to try. Thank you for all the answers.
You need to be younger than 30 in order to have a 50% chance to still be alive when the RAID is rebuilt in case of a drive failure.

There's the reason I never dived into Raid5, thank you for remembering me.
But I found another use case, e.g. setup each drive separately for XX3 in SeaweedFS, etc.

so raid5 might work with 3 80GB HDDs (or even better: 20GB HDDs).
Bu then I do not get the "3x1920nvme" setup by OVH.
