Help pick cloud provider for vpn business.
Hey everyone,
I’m setting up a small Business that uses a OSS vpn protocol like Wireguard or OpenVPN (not a personal VPN, but a backend service).
I’m looking for VPS providers that:
Allow VPN/tunneling use (no AUP issues)
Preferrably Offer multiple IPs per VPS
Have a good API or automation support (spin up infra at will with things like terraform/pulumi or just via an api)
Provide high bandwidth / solid network and of course good pricing for the bandwidth
Dont have ip issues (like blocked by default by some websites)
Any recommendations or providers you’ve used for similar setups?
Thanks!

Don't use virtual machines for commerical vpns...
could you please elaborate further?
virtual machines mostly have shared network port so the network may not be reliable for business use case!
Get a bunch of dedi boxes from online.net
are there any issues apart from that? like ability to have multiple public ips attached to my server (whether vm or dedicated)
can i have multiple ip addresses per server?
anything else to consider?
As far as I know most providers wont issue multiple ips without proper justification and in case of commercial vpn's there is a high probability of abuse! If something goes bad with your issued ip, their whole subnet may be blacklisted. So I dont think most providers will take this risk.
I look forward to your providers tag and offers.
you forgot to mention some $3/yr vpn
The easy way is to get couple of /24 ip blocks and route them however you want with your servers. For more details kindly open a ticket with lowend support staff.
We do support all you asked and with Hourly Billing as bonus.
Currently we have Salt Lake City and Amsterdam as locations, but we are looking forward to expand soon
You're not even gonna be able to push 1 gbit on any virtual machine cpu wont be enough and regardless its kinda unserious in a privacy perspective... and you're gonna get plenty of DMCA and other abuse reports and the ip rep is gonna get ruined
No one is gonna be fine with that if youre paying them a few dollars pr month
source: have ran a vpn service with 30k customers until 2019
thanks man, appreciate your help, so does having dedicated servers help with this? considering the network bandwidth and cpu are substantially better, but the issue regarding the ip remains the same.
Im not gonna do the work for you. Find providers willing to work with you but as i said if you pay a few dollars per monthj nobody is gonna bother with that regardless the market is very saturated nowadays and there is many good providers already. Its gonna be hard for you to make any money unless you offer some very exclusive features.
Dont imagine youre going to compete with any big names lol. They have millions of dollars to spend on marketing etcetera.
I heard if you contact the sales team and pay enough money, you can get a special AUP that nobody else gets. This works at any provider because they all like money. Same with IPs, any provider will give you extra IPs for money.
I would recommend acquiring your own ASN and /24 and use dedicated servers from a variety of hosts. If you have your own /24 and handle the abuse reports yourself, most if not all hosts will have no problems with you hosting a public vpn.
