    In EU / piracy enforcement circles, BREIN (the Dutch anti-piracy organization) has nominated Virtual Systems / VSYS among several companies for inclusion in an EU piracy watchlist, citing non-cooperation with blocking infringing sites Source

    I accidentally paid $2 looking at PACER for the court case so now I have to post and ask how/why vsys is operating servers in the US when they're facing a default judgement of $42M and a permanent injunction

    Bulletproof hosting != DMCA ignored, in my opinion at least. My own opinions clearly can't change yours, but they help bring nuance.

    Tbh it kinda is, because copyright violation is illegal in many jurisdictions, and them being resilient to complaints of this specific type of "illicit activities" technically makes them BPH. Not one hosting malware/phishing/CP, but still something seen as illegal by governments.
