    When the deal says:

    "50% OFF recurring - Annually - Non-transferable"

Would it be good for triennial payments, too? I got a 1 TB storage server annually, but I just realized, a 0.5 TB server triennially would get double disk space and be a much better deal. If it would have worked. It's too late now, of course.

I'm pretty sure when it says Annually it means the code only works on annual terms, not triennial. In other sales there have been codes that work on triennials with double resources but don't think there has been any durring this sale.

But with the 50%-off deal, you get double the CPU cores and more data than the 0.5TB plan with triannual payment, plus you don’t have to pay for three years all at once. You know, after the discount, the yearly cost is actually the same as the average annual cost of a three-year plan.

Thanks, that makes me feel better, then, that I didn't screw up.

It also makes the regular triennial for the storage servers pretty closed to the 50% off annual deal, price-per-year wise.

If I can remember correctly, last time flash deals had double resource for triennial payments on storage VPS.

I guess it's not. But no sure. While last flash sales on Feb, they had mentioned double promotion for 3 years if possible. But this time, they don't mention it.

Of course not, it is intentional to prevent from double dip

  • 0.5 TB storage server would be $70 triennially ($23.33 per year) - normal price.

With double-ram + double-sata-disk it would give you:

    1 TB sata disk
    20 GB nvme
    4 GB RAM
    1 cpu core
    3 TB Bandwidth

With the 50% off annual flash sale the 1 TB storage server was $22.50 per year.

    1 TB sata disk
    40 GB nvme
    3 GB RAM
    2 cpu cores
    6 TB Bandwidth

The fictional 0.5 TB storage server triennially plus 50% off, would be $35 ($11.66 per year).

If I remember correctly it ever happened once before on Phoenix storage, but that was intentional. Other than that particular instance it wasn't meant to double dip.

It makes sense. The deal says "annual" so it's annual.

Yes, correct. It was only for Phoenix storage VPS on triennially payment. And it was brought after many user requested.

I think I also have one.

I like how good of idler we are that we don't remember what we bought

  • I got the storage server in Phoenix, also. $22.50 per year. It is $2.50 more than the Host-C 1 TB storage server it's replacing. I'm getting good transfer speed from it, so far, though.

Do you remember how much you're paying for it, and how much disk space it has?

I took 1TB VPS and was upgraded to 2 TB.
Don't remember the price, but it was a super deal. Love for GreenCloud and their staff.

When storage VPS drops below $1/TB/m, it is always a no brainer to buy

  • It seems so quiet today.

Thanks, I am happy with it. I've gone back and forth, whether Singapore would have been a better choice of location, but I think it would be good, either way.

Singapore would have been less bandwidth, though (2 TB vs. 6 TB). In reality, 2 TB should be enough, though. I think that's what my Host-C has.

I prefer annual, also. But for $35 for 3 years vs. $22.50 for 1 year, I think 3 years would be worth it for just a little extra.

    That's a great deal!
I bought that triennial AZ double without the promo code and it was still a good deal.

  • Happy GreenCloud’s 12th Birthday

  • I prefer to pay for longer term (to get advantage of better price and double resources) if the provider is solid like GreenCloud.

That's when you don't need to care about them for the next 3 years :D

  • I also got the 2222 plan triennially, to get the double disk + bandwidth. 44 GB nvme and 1.5 TB bandwidth, both of which are significant and useful/needed for me.

  • It seems like everyone has bought quite a lot, but also to save money for the upcoming Black Friday? ;)
