Nice flex of getting $6.9/y deal. But I agree with you, I think this unstability is a new thing, maybe it will resolve in a month or two. Or maybe @NDTN can tell us more about the problem.
I have a vps in Mumbai that occasionally experiences this issue too. You could try GB5 instead
