$7 is just a way to attract traffic.
For the price of a cup of coffee you too can assemble a list of the worst providers in the history of the internet.
But sometimes you find a real gem worth spending some dollars on.

No, I don't think so.
Haven't got a $7/yr yet
can't keep up?
i blame everything on @allthemtings
btw,,,happy birthday
Same, you can DM him regarding your concerns.
regards from @Saragoldfarb
It's not only about 7$/year deals, as long as there are nice providers offering 7$ or other deals, people are interested to buy it. I don't have many 7$/year deal, I would try to get one if I get a chance, yet I buy their other deals if they seem good enough. But as usual, cheaper is better for me. I know deadpool deals are not sustainable on the long run.
On the other hand, it's not only about the deals, it's how they interact with others and community at their own threads and other threads. So, hosts need to have good reputation also (in my opinion).
You can try offering 7$/year deals to get more customers but I know that you won't and you will say you don't need such deadpool deal, which I respectfully agree with.
This is my 2 cents thou, keeping it civil, apart from the Ukraine - Russia thread (as I try to stay away from that thread on a webhosting board) you are the only provider that comments on politics or post propaganda level stuff. It's not my place to review if such posts are allowed on LET or not, but I would say that action brings bad image on you and your company. I don't mind if you care about it or not, but just sharing my not asked opinion.
Or you can just create sensational topics like this to get more views on your brand, which is another method to get some sales (hopefully)
before @cybertech posts food pic
i need to relax
@plumberg does the morning routine
**got it*** i found @FAT32
Brother, you are charging 3.5€ for a 1GB VPS.

Inflation is reel my man.
I've only ever bought one actual "$7/yr" deal and it was a horrible experience from start to finish. I finally cancelled it around 6 months in because frankly I was worried @jar was going to kill my mxroute account from all the downtime mails.
I'll buy almost anything under $20/yr (certain regions) to try a new provider.
must be difficult to realize people wouldnt buy your stuff even if it was free and you paid $200 for that tag
I think so too. The mass audience demonstrates very childish psychology and reactions. Such an audience doesn't care about how long a company has been around or how professional it is. They just prefer to look at social media.
The internet was one of those places where democracy had no borders, and now it has spread to other areas, from presidential elections to boycotts for or against anything. The problem is that not all real problems can be solved with the "like" or "dislike" buttons.
The power of the masses is great, but every time in history there has probably been a person who ignored the opinions of the masses and did what he wanted. Otherwise, we would still believe that the Earth was flat
So no $7/year ever, we can close this thread now
i dont know of any "professional" company that got any new customers by bitching on a random forum
no wonder why you're unknown "Since 2002."
Consistently
I think the $7/y deals are fun.
Ya because heavy competition between ovh pricings
